WHEN DOES 2ND QUARTER END? 2nd quarter ends January 23 (unless
we have to make up days for inclement weather).
Bring in excuses for tardies and absences starting now. Please don’t wait until the January 22 to try to figure it out.
Make up all your zeros in classes where it is not too late to turn in these assignments.
Continue to do what you are supposed to do and work up to your potential and beyond.

WHAT IS THE REWARD I AM WORKING TOWARD?
We took a school-wide vote before Thanksgiving.
8th graders want to go to Carolina Theater to see a movie and have popcorn and drinks.
7th graders voted to take a trip to Skateland.
These trips will probably take place during the first week in February.
There will be a charge for going on these field trips, but it probably won’t cost more than $5.

Wanna take it another step?
Calling all artists, photographers, and videographers:
We’d love to have real-life examples of PRIDE in all three settings (transition, cafeteria, restrooms). Ask for help from your parents, AA instructor, or Encore teachers.
Winners will receive a prize!
PS—if you have any ides for prizes, let Mrs. Jordan, Mrs. Covington, or Mrs. Sigmon know.

White Paper Chains for January Beginning January 9, FOR Club
members will have white strips of paper in teachers’ boxes.
We encourage teachers to hand out these strips when you see someone being an example of PRIDE.
Students will write their name on the paper chain and add it to the red and green ones already displayed in the hall from December.
On Friday Jan 16, 23, and 30th, we will call out names during morning announcements for students to win prizes!
