Last summer, my friend Ahmad and his family came to visit Kuwait. They came by plane and

stayed in a big hotel in Kuwait City.

His father is a bank manager and his mother is a doctor in a well-known hospital in Jordan.

They visited many interesting places. First, They visited Kuwait Towers and took a lot of photos

there. They also visited the zoo and saw a lot of animals and birds, but Ahmad liked the lion most.

They enjoyed playing, eating, drinking and dancing in the Fun City. They spent a nice time by the

sea where they went fishing and scuba diving.

At last, they went shopping in The Avenues Mall where they bought nice presents for their

friends. They liked The Avenues very much . They truly spent a lovely time in Kuwait .

Read the following passage then answer the questions below:

Hamad got full marks in his final exam and his father was very pleased with him. So his

father bought him a computer as a prize. Hamad found his computer very useful. It has helped

him a lot with his English lessons. Today he speaks English better than any other student in his

class. As for geography, he just puts the Atlas CD into his computer and all the countries of the

world are at his hands. He has learnt that Kuwait is the hottest country in the Gulf in summer.

Whenever he has a problem with his math homework, his computer is always ready to solve it

without any mistakes. At the weekends, Hamad prefers to sit at his desk and play computer

Read the following passage then answer the questions below:

Newton was born in  England, on December 25, 1642. He loved to build mechanical

models, but he was not a good student. His mother took him out of school so that he could help

run the family farm. Newton did not like farming. He liked to read and study on his own. A

teacher knew that Newton was very smart and helped him go to the University of Cambridge.

After Newton finished university, plague broke out in Cambridge. Many people got sick

and died. Newton went back to the family farm for two years until the plague died down. He
