It’s Not Man’s Book! It’s God’s! None of the human writers relax any of

the moral standards The fishermen don’t disagree with the

kings about giving The writers with newer culture don’t

disagree with the old about modesty

The Bible is perfectly consistent in its doctrine from beginning to end!!!

Written over a vast period with many different authors,

languages, political situations . . .

It all flows because it’s God’s book not man’s!

It Contains Moral Standards that Never Change Thou shalt not kill, thou

shalt not steal If it were man’s book, these

standards would change to fit the circumstances

The Bible makes statements that can be

tested for accuracy through history,

science, archeology etc.

Finally! I’ve been waiting for this part since we started this class!!!

We’ll start this examination now but will get to see much more later

First we’ll look at God’s creation of man

The Bible says God made Adam from the dust of the ground

What do others say?

Greeks and Romans speculated that everything on earth was made from earth, air, fire and water mixed together

While it is true that we breathe air and drink water, those things are added to us as we take them in

We’re not made of them And bad breath can’t count as fire!

We now know that the human body is made of hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus, sulfur, calcium, iron , molybdenum, manganese, and many other trace materials

Guess what else has all that stuff in it? That’s right! The dust of the ground!!!

That would be pretty awesome evidence of

Genesis 1-3 wouldn’t it?

It says we can find the Garden of Eden at the intersection of South Walnut and East Main Street . . .

Just kidding! But the directions are just as clear

It says we can find it at the intersection of the Tigris, Euphrates, Pishon, and Gihon rivers

The Tigris and Euphrates are easy to find and always have been but what about the Pishon & Gihon rivers?

The Smithsonian (anything but Bible-oriented) seems to have solved the problem

The following can be found in their article “Has the Garden of Eden Been Located at Last?”

Images from the satellite LANDSAT reveal a dry river bed know as the Wadi Rimah or Wadi Batan winding through Saudi Arabia and Kuwait

This river was around at the time Genesis was written, flowing through a land called Havilah, and fits the description of the Pishon

It’s been damned; so, it’s pretty unimportant nowadays but satellite images show that it added a great deal of sediment to the Persian Gulf in the past

Translation: it used to be a big honkin’ important river!!!

But this can’t be the right river . . .

Remember a few months ago when we learned that ancient Hebrew was written without vowels (much like texting today)

This was no problem in a society where many had memorized the Torah

However, centuries later there was much less certainty about which vowels were correct in proper names like Ksh

This could be the case: “Ksh” The interpreter chose the vowel

qibutts (“u” sound in “full) = “Kush”

Archaeologists have discovered that a people known as the “Kashshites” lived in 1500 B.C. right around the Karun River!

Moses lived around 1500 B.C. too, so he would have known the area around today’s Karun River as the Land of Kash! Which uses the vowel pattach (“a” in “man”)

That shows the Karun surrounding the Land of Kash & intersecting with the other 3 rivers

Which makes the Karun the perfect candidate to be the Gihon!

So the Garden of Eden is most likely buried under the North end of today’s Persian Gulf

If a fabulously lush garden had existed and was buried in the flood, we would expect the decaying vegetation to form lots of oil

Guess what we find throughout the Persian Gulf?

The World’s richest oil reserves!!!

Some say it’s impossible to determine the Location of Eden because the flood would have erased the pre-Flood earth

The pre-Flood earth was completely erased but when Moses wrote/edited the

description in Genesis 1-3 . . . he would have referred to geographic

features of his day, because . . . his people were the original audience to

which Genesis was written!

Job 26:7 “He hangeth the earth upon nothing! Science backs up the Bible

again!

This reminds me of man’s theory of evolution

The whole point of evolution is that there has always been matter.

They say that matter is eternal and everything evolved from something

Hmm . . . Sounds a lot like the earth sitting on a turtle to me

THE WORLD HAS TO SIT ON SOMETHING!!!

LIFE HAD TO START FROM SOMETHING!!!

The world can’t just hang in the air on nothing!!!

So, it must sit on something

Let’s guess what it sits on

Hmm . . . A turtle, an elephant, a big pile of dirt etc.

Anything but saying God hung it on nothing!

The world can’t just have started from nothing!!!

So, it must have started from something

Let’s guess what it started from

Hmm . . . matter evolving, matter undergoing the Big Bang etc.

Anything but saying God created it from nothing!

THE WORLD HAS TO SIT ON SOMETHING!!!

LIFE HAD TO START FROM SOMETHING!!!

If man was wrong about the earth sitting on nothing

Science finally forced man to see that the earth hangs on nothing

Did you know that it took man hundreds of years to accept this as true and to stop calling scientists idiots for believing it?

Then couldn’t they be wrong about the earth being created from nothing?

Scientists are slowly realizing that all of the detail in the world had to have a designer

Did you know that the majority of scientists are no longer atheists?

All they need now is to see that God made the world and not aliens.

Finally, science forced them to see

that it is round

Many critics say that it does
