Some Research• 86 % of businesses in Ontario are

small businesses, employing less than 20 workers• Study done in February 2009 by the

Institute for Work and Health found:• Small businesses lack knowledge of OHS rules• Lack formal workplace systems and resources• Policies and legislation don’t fit the reality of

small businesses
