Yuriy Zhirkov was born in Tambov on the 20-th of August in 1983. He plays for Dynamo Moskva and the Russian national team.

In 2001 he joined the club «Spartak» (Tambov).

He conducted 74 matches for three seasons in the second league George

and hammered 26 heads.

In March, 2004 a talented midfielder made debut in composition of the youth

combined team of Russia against the combined team of Bulgaria.
