SIP-DECT 4.0 SolutionWide band audio : CAT-iq (Cordless Advanced Technology - Internet and Quality)

Calls are done in wide band audio when infrastructure + DECT terminals support CAT-iq 1.0

The G.722 audio codec is used

This wide band audio function needs to be activated for a SITE. The SITE must contain new generation RFPs only to allow CAT-iq activation.

Limitations :

• RFPs manage only 4 wide band audio channels (instead of 8 channels in narrow band)

• You must not mix CAT-iq sites and non CAT-iq sites inside a cluster

• Wide band audio is available only if all parties involved are compatible, eg. Call Serveur, caller and called are G.722 compatible

• The DECT-XQ activation and the CAT-iq activation are not compatible simultaneously

SIP-DECT 4.0 SolutionCodecs

Support of Codecs VoIP :

• G.722 (10, 20, 30 ms)

• G.711 (10, 20, 30 ms)

• G.729 (10, 20, 30 ms)

G.729 is licensed on OMM

G.722 only with new generation RFPs (RFP 35,36,37,43) et le terminal 650c

G.723 no more supported as from R4.0
