Here are some suggested points to work on (in order of priority): Encourage individual and group work. The more time you devote to practical playing, the better. It is ok if you don’t finish the song in the class. Learning just part of the song will also work. However, it is important to highlight a specific result, e.g. “We have learned the first two verses and chorus of the song”. The lesson plan is written for 45 minutes, working at a medium to steady pace. If the working pace is slow, it might take up to 60 minutes (the timeline for a 60 minute lesson is indicated in brackets). 1) motivation and positive encouragement; 2) helping students fix obvious mistakes to achieve a better result (e.g. wrongly played chord move finger to the right position; can’t keep rhythm help with counting); 3) quality of playing.
