The brain reacts differently to foods that contain chemicals like high fructose corn syrup

Research has been found that the syrup can lead to addiction (Biel, Laura)

Jennifer Kelly Geddes states that “the latest research on high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) affirms that consuming fructose can affect an area of the brain that controls appetite, causing you to not feel full and potentially eat too much.”

Other negative effects

High fructose causes our body to store fat and burn sugar

Fructose can lead to diabetes because the insulin could become resistant

It’s cheaper for companies to sell items that contain high fructose corn syrup but harmful toward the consumers health
