PRETERITE

-car, -gar, -zar

is a SPELLING CHANGE that ONLY takes place in the YO FORM of a verb in

the Preterite.

-car -qué

Por ejemplo:

Buscar yo busqué

Sacar yo saqué

Practicar yo practiqué

Tocar yo toqué

¿por qué?

The “c” can make 2 sounds in spanish:

The “s” sound and the “k” sound.
