Recruited and managed ESCOM personnel for the project to be trained by the US consultants to take overrelevant duties from the consultants as and where appropriate.

Conducted reviews, surveillances and audits in accordance with the ANSI N45.2 QA Standards. RepresentedESCOM QA at contract meetings in South Africa, France and the USA and was lead auditor on numerous QAaudits of suppliers of equipment and services to the project.

Transferred to the Koeberg site in 1981 and supervised ESCOM staff and two specialist consultants during theconstruction and initial commissioning phases of the Project. Performed audits to ensure compliance withlicensing requirements and liaised with Atomic Energy Board officials on site.

Developed and implemented QA Programmes in accordance with the IAEA 50 C QA Codes and Guides for thenuclear fuel and the operational phases of the Koeberg Project.
