Diwali Diwali is the festival of lights
which is celebrated in various
regions across India. The name
„Deepavali‟ means an “array of
lights”. Diwali symbolises the
spiritual “victory of light over
darkness, good over evil and
knowledge over ignorance. The
festival is widely associated with
lakshmi , goddess of prosperity.
The School wore a festive look
with decorated diyas, lanterns
decorative cutouts, students
decorated those eartherndiyas ,
made colourful lanterns , eye
soothing rangolies. Teachers
explained the importance of
Diwali also taught about green
Diwali which means “ Diwali
with less pollution & less noise”.
With traditional attire all pre-
primary children came together to
celebrate this light fest. Where
they learnt the social importance
of festivals also about custom of
Hinduism. Kiddos loved the
arrangement and enjoyed a lot the
Diwali celebration.

Diwali is a festival of lights that stands for victory of good over evil.
Children between 2-6 years always ready to play & run around
because this is the time when the child acquires and refines a lot of
motor skills
To improve motor skills. Pre-Primary wing of JGS – Nacharam
conducted Diyacraft activity children of different classes made
diyas with colourful papers, kundans and few children made
beautiful lanterns with great interest & they also took them home as
diwalihandouts children enjoyed the activity with great fun and
loads of happiness.
THE COLOUR OF ROYALTY -PURPLE DAY
Purple is the colour that symbolizes compassion, creativity,dignity, royalty.
To make the students aware of the Purple Colour the day was celebrated on 23rd Nov 2019 in
our pre-primary wing childrenwere dressedin purple& surroundings decorated in purple was
extra ordinary. Children came up with the activity based on the colour celebration. Children
took part with great enthusiasm in art &craft activities related to colour thus reinforcing the
concept ofpurple.
SKILL UP YOU LEARNING WITH FUN !
To develop motor skills sand pinching is an excellent kind of activity . By pinching sand
with finger to apply also improve the art work of a child.
Logical thinking skills give learners the ability to understand what they have read or been
shown. Lego is a kind of activity which teacher teach students an important foundational
skill of logical maths.
In a part of sand pinching activity of PP II teachers mixed colours with sand and children
apply those colourful sand to make eye soothing Rangoli. This activity was really a
innovative and also interesting method where children involved themselves with learning.
As a part of lego activity on children sat in group with building blocks . They prepared
different shapes in their own creative way.
The moto behind these sand pinching and lego activity was to improve fix motor skills and
logical thinking, which was really justified. There was a lot of learning and enjoyment.
FUN WITH NUMBERS
Pre-primary children got a wonderful opportunity to learn new numbers with lots of
fun.Activities make children to think smarter and conceptual understanding grows
with such fun where activities children tend to retain concepts longer than usual. Pre-
primary children played games like hopping game, ice cream sticks game, paper
cups game and so on to strengthen their skills. Thus pre-primary teachers make their
children brighter, sharper & stronger.
EVERY CHILD IS AN ARTIST !
Children participated in Drawing & colouring competition
with great enthusiasm as they pour out their hearts on paper
using various medium like crayons, pencil colours, etc.
The aim of this competition was to explore the creative
potential in the young minds of our students all the children
were given sheets and were asked to draw scenery of a small
village.
This was an activity also to encourage children to develop
their art & craft skills. Our children had an enjoyable time
while doing drawing & colouring.

Listening is the ability to accurately receive &interpret message in the communication
process listening is key to all effective communication.
Listening is important because good listening allows us to demonstrate that we are
paying attention to the thoughts , feelings & behaviours of other person which is crucial
to maintain productive relationships & sometimes the only way to establish
communication.
Preprimary wing of JGS Nacharam conducted listening activity.
Teachers organised various listening activities for different classes such as Chinese
whisper in which children sat in a circle & a child wouldwhisper a word into the ears of
the first student in the circle . They whisper the word into the next students ear in the
circle until the whisper gets to the last student in the circle, the last student has to say out
the word. Few classes conducted blind fold game & few children were taken to English
lab where the children enjoyed the activity with the help of headset.
