I don’t know if this is tree or not, as it would appear that there are numerous malls in the vicinity. But there’s definitely one thing for certain, it’s a large mall filled with designer shops you’d find in high-end malls around the world, which means that this mall if for those who are rich. Admission is free and they operate from 10am to 11pm all week long.

The National Museum:Located in the political heart of Jakarta, this museum is really known for having a little bit of everything. Everything

about Indonesia that is, founded in 1778, it has stuff from pre-historic Indonesia to modern-day Indonesia, it’s basically a visual history of Indonesia. Admission is currently Rp 5 000 , which is currently around $0.50 in Canadian dollars, the museum is closed on Mondays, but is open on Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 4pm, while on the weekends, it is open from 9am to 5pm.

Waterbom Jakarta:Waterbom Jakarta is a nice, fun, and family orientated water park that apparently has the theme of

“Urban Cool”. It is located near the coast and with a large space, playing in this park in the sun will make everybody’s day more fun! Open on weekdays from 10am to 9pm while on weekends, it is open from 8am to 9pm, admissions are currently unknown.

Sea World:Most likely the biggest punch for your money, at Sea World, the aquarium may be small, but the fish are numerous, which makes it ideal for an afternoon trip. Featuring local fish, this museum would be perfect for little ones to take in the undersea wonders of Indonesia. Hours are from 9am to 6pm all week, the admission fee is from Rp. 13 000-25 000.

Fatahillah Square: A old Dutch square occupied by stalls and performers of all sorts, a cool blend between historical Indonesia and modern-day Indonesia, the best part is that it is free!

Even More Info (Coant.) Recent History Recently, Indonesia was formed when we declared independence from Dutch rules, while our state was started, it would be another long period of long “presidencies” and bloodshed and coups before Indonesia became what it is now today. Local Sports Teams

Rouges – older beer & chill tennis club

Jakarta Komodos – seasonal rugby club

Jakarta Aqua Dragons – competitive swim club

Local TransportationSee when it comes to Jakarta, there seems to be nothing but transportation on roads. Which means that transportation on city buses, privates buses, minivans, and powered tricycles. They cost from 3500, 2000, 1500, and bargaining of prices.EducationEducation in Indonesia is very simple, the state-funded system is primary (elementary), junior-high, high and is divided into the control of the Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs, some religious schools also exist. However,

the option is out there for private education, which is usually more internationally-focused. Universities and colleges also exist; however they are optional and must be paid for.

AccommodationsOakwood Premier Cozmo Jakarta - The Oakwood Premier Cozmo Jakarta is a 5-star luxurious apartment hotel. Surprisingly, compared to high-end hotels

you’d find elsewhere, it only costs $248.

Kosenda Hotel – The Kosenda Hotel is an averagely priced hotel with a jungle style. It’s got class, compared to rest of the average hotels, and it costs around $101 a night.

Six Degrees – They call this place a hostel, I call it a college/university dorm without homework that was actually a really cheap hotel, I should also mention they have cats,

specifically 3, in addition, a night’s stay costs around $16.50-$11.86.

RestaurantsSatoo – A fusion of as many cultures that make up Indonesia-type of restaurant, while it is inside a hotel, I can only say that this place seems

very solid. Very expensive but delicious food can be found here, but I suggest you taste the Mie goreng, which is basically Indonesia fried noodles with prawns and grilled shrimp skewers.

Plan B – A Spanish tapa restaurant that is in the mid-price range, I should mention that despite being a tapas place, it feel more like a restaurant in a bistro-setting. This place seems befitting for an

international city. One of the good dishes that they serve there is the Beef Entrecotte, basically far-east version of the steak, mashed potato, and veg

dish.

Bakami GM – If McDonalds was smaller and actually cared about the food it made, and if it was an

Indonesian, Chinese, and Halal mix. I’d recommend Bakmi Ayam Saus Thai, which apparently is suppose to be a Chinese meat on top of some kind of Thai noodles, I don’t quite know what it is, but I’m quite sure that it’ll be delicious.

-All of these restaurants are ranked on the price and quality from the best and most expensive,

to the cheapest and poorest.
