The GreenlrCit Museum, LO-B Cre5Cenc Road, is decorated for the holidays. A tree with orna­ments from rhc 1930s and 1940s is in the living room. A metal wind--up train donated by pioneer Lucille Howell surrounds the tree. Museum hours a .. 1-5 p.m. every Sunday.

The GreenJrelt Museum Gift Shop will be open on Sunday. December 19 for last-manute shopping. Gifts will also be sold at rhc Greenbelt Co-op on Satur­day, DecemJrer 18 and Sunday December 19, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Millennium Calendar and rhc new cookbook. "Greenbelt Cooks-Then and Now," are dis­tinctive gifts to be treasured for many years. The cookbook has over 100 recipes from p1oneer families and present-day Greenbelten. A new ornament with "Holiday Greetmgs from Grecnbclf' is another 1pec1alty item this year. The new lzzy Parker holiday card is sold out, but there are still a few packages left of rhc David Granahan holi­·day card. Other favorite Greenbelt holiday gifts are the Mother and Child statuette and the GreenlrCit hiatory book. On October 26, Girl Scout Troop 3030 celebrated a special award ceremony honoring the re· cipients of the Silver Award. Thts award is the highest honor · awarded to a Cadette Girt Seoul. Four members of troop 3030 were presented with thetr pin and patch to show their hard work and accomplishmenos. Each a•rl had to complete many requue­ments before even bc&inning lo plan thetr final project.
