12+Student Technology Assistant (STA)Program “The STA Program enabled me to
shoot a series of videos and develop video case studies. It enabled us to contemplate and embark upon a project that had long been needed but unable to execute due to lack of resources.”
“All of the work carried out by the STA saved me a tremendous amount of time during the semester. In fact, I would not have been able to work on this project at all due to time constraints. The STA also gave me a refresher course on how to do some of the basic functions necessary for further website development.”

14+iPad Classroom Project &Faculty Pilot “This was a superb opportunity
and revolutionized the student experience. Students who were serious about their studies really enjoyed and capitalized on the iPad’s attributes.”
“The instruction to students was incredibly simple, but profoundly effective … it was an exceptional enhancement, pedagogically. It represented a monumental shift in the “flow” of the class, inasmuch as it allowed for a greater spontaneity and ability to shift gears far more quickly.”

What did you enjoy most about SII? “I really enjoyed seeing all
the options of the various types of technology/tools, as well as seeing the creative ways that people have incorporated these technologies into the classroom. I could see how these tools could enhance classroom engagement and increase student comprehension. I also really enjoyed the camaraderie between the faculty members themselves, but also between the iTeam and faculty.”

What was your most valuable take-away? “... I look forward to
coming into the future SII groups to share with them how much you’ve literally changed my philosophy of education. I won’t be the same instructor that I used to be.”
“Syllabus construction, course development, learning outcomes, how to build a course and incorporate technology the way I want to. How to use Twitter feed. How to use Bb as a faculty and build a Bb course. LOTS of things! This was so incredibly valuable!”

General Comments
“I have to say, this was a great experience. Truly. It was completely overwhelming, and at times daunting and frustrating … but it was worth it in the end. If you need me to be an advocate for it, I’m your man. ”
“Thanks so much – all of you were so incredibly kind to us the whole two weeks that we started to feel like family!”
