Our life spreads light when it is
given in service. The secret of joy is
living to serve.
The highly anticipated and most welcome Demotion Dinner for the Rotary Club of West Sacramento was not the usual sophisticated annual event we are most noted for. We were surprised by an officer of the law trying to perform an arrest. We should have noted there was something amiss with the outline of a caulk-marked body on the floor. Soon the arrival of the CIA (Clarksburg Intelligence Agencies Men in Black) who were investigating our President Troy for trying to infiltrate into the various organizations, whether it be religious, nationality, entertainment, etc. The CIA’s concerns are all documented in video format. We did manage to perform the regular duties normally associated with the Demotion Dinner of awarding a couple of Paul Harris Awards, The Presidents Thank-You’s to his Board of Directors and Committee Chairs and stumbling through President Troy’s Demotion and the induction of our current President Peter Anderson. On a side note, the 2xPast President would like to thank Pamela Bird - documentarian, the Program Committee Members, Luan Christ and her delegated staff, Doug Bevier - audio/visual consultant, and Club Pheasant and their staff for a wonderful evening. Amanda, the cookies were great! Link to the CIA’s Documented Concerns Video: http://www.kizoa.com/Movie-Maker/d279592418k8012292o1/troy-demo

It has been my privilege and honor to serve as the 70th president of the Mighty Rotary Club of
West Sacramento. Many thanks to all of the dedicated members who selfishly gave of their
time and resources to make the 2018-2019 term a memorial experience.
As with all successful endeavors it is the individuals who make it a positive and
enjoyable experience, those who say yes with enthusiasm to the task at hand and complete the needed events, assignments, community
service projects, youth projects, elderly projects and so many more that make up a powerful and successful Rotary year, these
members are the real superstar’s.
I could not have asked for a more dedicated, caring, committed and enjoyable group of
Rotarians and true friends.
It not an easy undertaking to make your president look good however somehow you all made it look uncomplicated and trouble-free. Thank you is best prayer anyone can say to each other, I thank you from the bottom of
heart!
Respectfully, Troy F Bird
