ROGER DEWINTBorn in Brussels, Belgium in 1942. Lives and works in Brussels, Belgium.

Profession : artist – engraver, etcher

Roger Dewint is a renowned engraver internationally and in Belgium. For over 40 years he has perfected the technique of aquatint in which he creates his own colours. Profession : artist – painter, drawing, photgrapher. He has taught at the Académie Royale des Beaux Arts in Brussels.

Manuel Geerinck works as an abstract photographer. His works can be said to be arranged as still life’s which are they animated or set into motion through colour and movement. That movement is captured photographically in an instant, a fraction of a second and Geerinck classifies them as « di-stilled-life’s ». The objects that make up his photographs are barely recognisable as they are swallowed up by the vibrant color field background.

VINCENT SOLHEID Lives and works in Brussels, Belgium.

Profession : artist – painter.

Vincent Solheid plays with the idea of a carnaval in his work, by disguising oneself and beco-ming someone else. He works directly on postcards, masking the identity of the character. This world of masks makes the viewer question « is it the real person ? Or is it someone disguised as that person ? » His scribbled texts are written directly onto the postcards aswell. They are not to be viewed as final pieces but as practical work, as if they have been used by people. The text is often used to make fun of the image.

PATRICK VAN ROY Born in Ixelles, Belgium in 1972. Lives and works in Brussels, Belgium.

Profession : photographer.

Patrick Van Roy is a photographer who does not use programs on the computer to edit his images. He works in a descrete manner, waiting patiently for the right composition, light and colour to appear before his lens, and snaps the oppurtunity several times before selecting his final image. When printing his images, he choose to amplify them, making the viewer question the truth of the appearance within the image.

BarBara opsomerThe young artist Barbara Opsomer got her certificate of ‘Master in Fine Arts’, option ‘en-graving’ in 2006. She devoted the last 2 years exploring several new ways of improving her different techniques.

In 2011, she exposes again and she is present at Brussels, Knokke, Silly and Ath, and also at Art Beijing 2011.

Her world is an imaginary of lines, strokes, signs and graphic symbols as writing, numbers or scrawls. These compositions are enriched with subtile integrations of colours or person-ages.
