How does the funding work?

Receive your grant in three instalments:

• £5k at the beginning of your 1st undergraduate year

• £5k at the beginning of your 2nd undergraduate year

• £5k at the beginning of your 3rd undergraduate year 

After this you will earn as you learn, getting paid on the unqualified teacher scale during your ITT year.

In return you will be asked to commit to:

• Take part fully in the Future Teaching Scholars programme

• Teach for two years in a state-funded secondary school (after your ITT)

• Be an ambassador for the Future Teaching Scholars programme

• Follow a code of conduct

• Sign a funding agreement
