To give best coverage to detect pedestrians and cyclists, the firstsensor is mounted into the nearside wheel arch section at a heightno closer than 450mm from the ground. The second sensor ismounted on the nearside forward corner of the body. The forthsensor is mounted above or just in front of the rear wheels andthe third sensor is mounted between the second and forth sensor.

12 - 24 volt Side Detection System which uses Ultrasonic Technology, was designed to prevent accidentswith cyclists or pedestrians. At traffic lights, left turns or slow moving traffic, cyclists will often attempt to nipup the inside of a vehicle and similary pedestrians will stand too close to the road not realising that a largevehicle turning left may cut across the curb.
