My favorite book

Cia is selected for the Testing. If she passes all the tests, she can go to the university. Before she leaves the town she may never see again, she is told to trust no one. At the testing center, Cia realizes the tests arent all that they seem. Each one more deadly than the last. While in the tests, she finds out who to trust and who to avoid. But the entire time she wonders who started these to have children fight against each other. Even more so, she might have her memory erased and not remember any of it. This makes her want to find a way to stop it all.

Joelle’s life

Joelle got a masters degree in opera and an undergraduate degree in music and theater. She has preformed in opera and musical theater productions in Chicago. She currently teaches private vocal lessons and is the author of the New York Times best selling The Testing trilogy as well as two mystery series: The Rebecca Robbins mysteries and the Glee Club mysteries. She never originally wanted to become an author. During her 20’s she sang and danced on stage. During her 30’s she had an idea for a book and decided to sit down and attempt to write it.

Why I like Joelle’s books

Her books are not always things that could happen but they have action and adventure. Also, they have suspense and make you want to read more. She writes fiction novels for both adults and teens. She likes to get ideas for books from others. For example, the Testing Series came out of one of her vocal students being stressed out for college. This gave her the idea to make a stressful situation in which lots of kids are trying to get into one university. Then she puts an interesting twist into the plot that makes it very interesting. The biggest reason why I like her books is the feeling of suspense and not knowing what will happen next.
