On this Britain and Ireland tour, you’ll see Britain’s & Ireland’s highlights — from the bustling cities

to the small towns and from the magnificent palaces and castles to the ancient ruins. Traveling

through the lands of queens, kings, and leprechauns, begin and end in London and pass through

Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and England.

You’ll visit some of the splendid castles and palaces for which Britain and Ireland are famous. You’ll

stroll through the gardens and tour Malahide Castle, one of the oldest castles in Ireland and home

to the Talbot family for over 800 years. In Edinburgh visit Edinburgh Castle, where you’ll marvel at

the Scottish Crown Jewels, and Holyrood Palace (when available), and The Queen’s official residence

in Scotland. Finally, enjoy a visit to majestic Blenheim Palace, built in the early 18th century and

birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.

Day 1: Sun – HONOLULU. Depart Honolulu.

Day 2: Mon – IN TRANSIT.

Day 3: Tue – ARRIVE IN LONDON, ENGLAND. After completing arrival formalities, transfer by coach to the hotel in London. The day is at your leisure – start exploring the city on your own. Your hotel rooms may not be available until the afternoon. HILTON LONDON METROPOLE or Similar (2 Nights)

Day 4: Wed – LONDON. Your morning sightseeing with a Local Guide includes all the famous landmarks: the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben beside the Thames River, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall’s Mounted Horseguards and the Prime Minister’s Downing Street Residence, Piccadilly Circus, and Buckingham Palace. The highlight is a visit to ST. PAUL’S CATHEDRAL, Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece built between 1675 and 1708. This afternoon, why not join an optional excursion to the Tower of London or Windsor Castle, and later, maybe an optional dinner, followed by a cruise on the Thames River? (B)

Day 5: Thur – LONDON – STONEHENGE – BATH – NEWPORT, WALES. Meet your Tour Director and traveling companions and depart at 8:00 am for a memorable day of sightseeing. First, travel to prehistoric STONEHENGE; explore the visitor center with its imaginative exhibitions, then admire the magnificence of the monument up close. In the elegant Georgian city of Bath, see the amazing excavations of the ROMAN BATHS. Cross the Severn River into Wales, and tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel. Day 6: Fri – NEWPORT – CARDIFF – WATERFORD, IRELAND. An orientation in the Welsh capital features the major attractions: Cardiff Castle, Cathays Park, and the stately civic buildings. Continue along the South Wales coast to Fishguard, where your FERRY is waiting. Cross St. George’s Channel to Rosslare and proceed by coach to Waterford, a stronghold founded by the Danish Vikings in 853. After dinner this evening, enjoy an IRISH COFFEE DEMONSTRATION. Day 7: Sat – WATERFORD – BLARNEY – KILLARNEY. Your first highlight today is a guided tour of the HOUSE OF WATERFORD CRYSTAL. Via the port city of Cork, motor to Blarney, renowned for its magical Kissing Stone, then on to Killarney for a two-night stay. Later, join an entertaining optional evening in Tralee with dinner and tickets for Siamsa Tire National Folk Theatre. KILLARNEY TOWERS HOTEL or Similar (2 Nights) (B)

Day 8: Sun – KILLARNEY. RING OF KERRY EXCURSION. Follow the road known as the RING OF KERRY for a spectacular 100-mile panoramic drive around the island’s southwestern tip, and take your photos of the Lakes of Killarney from Ladies View. This afternoon, maybe an optional fun-filled, horse-drawn jaunting-car ride. (B)

Day 9: Mon – KILLARNEY – ADARE – CASHEL – KILDARE – DUBLIN. Drive to quaint Adare with its colorful thatched cottages and on to the Rock of Cashel, where St. Patrick preached. Then, visit the IRISH NATIONAL STUD, whose fine thoroughbreds command respect on the racecourses of the world. Day 10: Tue – DUBLIN. Get an overview of Ireland’s capital as you drive to statue-lined O’Connell Street, elegant Georgian squares, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and Oscar Wilde’s Trinity College. Day 11: Wed – DUBLIN – MALAHIDE – BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND. Set on 250 acres of park land, and formerly both fortress and private home of the Talbot family for nearly 800 years, MALAHIDE CASTLE is your first visit today. Join your guide on a tour of the castle with its interesting mix of architectural styles, then stroll through the extensive gardens. On your way to Northern Ireland, cross the Boyne River and drive on to Belfast, where an orientation drive takes in all the famous landmarks, including City Hall, the Albert Memorial Clock Tower, and Queen’s University. Then, visit the fascinating TITANIC EXPERIENCE, where you learn all about the building of the largest passenger steam ship, its maiden voyage, and the tragic night of April 14, 1912. Day 12: Thur – BELFAST – EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND. Enjoy a leisurely morning before you board the FERRY to cross the North Channel to Cairnryan on Scotland’s southwest coast and continue through the scenic Scottish border country to Edinburgh. Day 13: Fri – EDINBURGH. Morning city sightseeing with a Local Guide introduces you to the 200-year-old “New Town” and the famous scientists, inventors, and novelists who lived there. In the “Old Town,” visit EDINBURGH CASTLE to admire Scotland’s Crown Jewels, then explore HOLYROOD PALACE (when available, excluding August and other occasional dates). Afternoon at leisure. Later, a unique optional excursion: board the former Royal Yacht Britannia, once the perfect royal residence for glittering state visits and family holidays. Dinner rounds off this optional evening. Day 14: Sat – EDINBURGH – ALNICK, ENGLAND – YORK. Relax and enjoy vistas of the beautiful North Sea coastline as you drive via Berwick-upon-Tweed to Alnwick, voted the “best place to live in Britain” in a national survey. In York, England’s most complete medieval city, visit YORK MINSTER, the largest gothic cathedral in Northern Europe. Day 15: Sun – YORK – STRATFORD-UPON-AVON. Discover the beautiful hometown and final resting place of Stratford’s most famous son, William Shakespeare. Then, visit SHAKESPEARE’S BIRTHPLACE, where he grew up and lived the first years of his married life.
