All you will need is…• a printer• copy paper• cardstock • a stapler• child scissors• crayons or colored pencils• paper bag or small basket

This Parent Pack includes the following activities for at home practice:

Choose And ColorTo prepare: Print the cards on cardstock. Cut the cards on the dotted lines and place the cards in a bag or small basket. Print a copy of the Choose and Color Worksheet. Your child chooses a card from the basket, finds the match on the worksheet and colors it.Counting DinosaursTo prepare: Print the reader pages. There will be two sets of the reader.Cut each copy on the dotted line and staple. Your child counts and colorsthe dinosaurs and traces the numbers and number words.Go FishTo prepare: Print at least two pages of the Go Fish cards on cardstock.*To Play: 1. Shuffle the cards and deal each player 4 cards. Stackthe remaining cards facedown in the center of the players (“the pond”).2. Player 1 asks player 2 for a card that matches one they have in their hand. If player 2 has the card asked for, he or she hands it over and player 1 lays their pair on the table. Player 1’s turn continues, asking for another card. If player 2 does not havethe match, he or she tells player 1, “Go Fish”. Player 1 chooses a card from the pond and it is player 2’s turn.3. The first player to match all his or her cards wins. If the pond is empty,The player with the most pairs wins.Memory MatchTo prepare: Print two copies of the matching cards on cardstock.Cut them apart on the dotted lines. Shuffle the cards and lay them out face down in rows to play a game of memory match.Dino SetsYour child counts the sets in each block and colors the set that has more.Print a second sheet and switch it to the set with less for extra practice.Dino Number ColorLook at the number on the volcano and color the correct number of dinosin the column.

Instructions

Count, Number & Word MatchTo prepare: Print the set of number, dots and word cards on cardstock. Cut them apart on the dotted lines. Your child shuffles the cards and matches the numbers, correct number of dots and number words together.Number Booklet To prepare: Print a copy of the booklet pages. Have your child trace the dotted lines and cut on the lines of each page. Put the pages in the correct order and staple them. Read the booklet with your child and let them color it. Invite your child to read the finished booklet back to you.Number MatchTo prepare: Print a copy of the worksheet. Your child circles the matching numbers in each row.Color By NumberTo prepare: Print a copy of the worksheet. Help your child follow the color code at the top of the picture.Number Trace and WriteTo prepare: Print a copy of the worksheet. Your child practices tracing and writing each number.

Tip: I have suggested using cardstock for better durability but if you do not have any, copy paper works. Also, if you want to make the games more appealing to your child, colored cardstock or copy paper will do the trick! Worksheets should be printed on white copy paper.
