2. Biosphere: All living things. One of the four spheres into which scientists divide earth.

3. Hydrosphere: Earth’s water and ice. One of the four spheres into which scientists divide earth.

4. Atmosphere: The mixture of gases that surrounds Earth. One of the four spheres into which scientists divide earth.

5. Lithosphere: A solid layer made up of the uppermost part of the mantle and the crust. One of the four spheres into which scientists divide earth.

6.Crust: The layer of rock that forms Earth’s outer surface.

7.Mantle: The layer of hot solid material between Earth’s crust and core.

8. Asthenosphere: The soft layer of the mantle on which the listhosphere floats.

9. Outer Core: A molten sphere of nickel and iron surrounding the solid inner core.

10.Inner Core: A dense sphere of solid iron and nickel in the center of the Earth.
