HW and SW Requirement

Install
• Click on “Setup.exe” to start installing.• NI-VISA install shield would be invoked – It’s
necessary for running RF related testing function.
• 1255 Service software install shield.

Uninstall
• Click on “Setup.exe” to start uninstalling.• Click “Remove All” to uninstall NI-VISA
• Select “Remove” to uninstall 1255 service software.

Service software will automatically capture all connections to which 1255 mobile terminal is connected. You can start connecting to a mobile terminal by selecting a COM port identified on the screen.

To start using component, level 1 and level 2 users have to login by entering a pair of user name and password, and level 3 users have to plug-in PK-83 AMS SW Protection Key to PC

SPC verification
SPC dialog screen appears right after you login. If you click “Ignore” button, certain functions such as User Data Transfer, Flex Graphics and Tones will not be available.

Phone Information
• Users can acquire phone information from the selected connections.
Step 1:Click on “Phone Info” tab

Flashing
• Flashing feature is used for software upgrade, Service Software will download the phone image file from PC to phone.
• Phone images include Boot Code, Application Code, Language Pack and File System.
• Users can select the images needed to be upgraded and need not to download all images every time.

Flashing
Step 1: Click on “Flashing” tab
Step 2:Click on “…” button to start file browser
Step 3:Check (upgrade) or uncheck (no upgrade) the boxes in front of the image texts.
Step 4: Click on “Update” button to start flashing

Bundle Flashing
• This feature is for easy bundle management of flashing file by selecting only one packed image file.
• After 1255 Service Software recognizing the images included in the packed file, you can select which part needs to be updated (like flashing does).

Step 1: Click on “Bundle Flashing” tab
Step 2: Select bundle image file:Click on the first button to browse a folder in your PC. Service software would automatically find the latest version bundle image in this folder. Or you can click the second button to browse a bundle image file in your PC.
Note that the users can only flash file system and language pack images which are compatible with the operator setting value of the connected phone, i.e. a Unicom phone can’t flash Vivo’s language or file system images.

User Data Transfer
• User Data - contact, short message, call register, organizer records, game setting….
• Users may want to backup data instead of having them replaced or deleted after flashing. So 1255 Service Software provides user data transfer feature to fulfill requests.

Bundle Flashing
Step 1: Click on “Bundle Flashing” tab
Step 2: Select bundle image file:Click on the first button to browse a folder in your PC. Service software would automatically find the latest version bundle image in this folder. Or you can click the second button to browse a bundle image file in your PC.

Step 4: Start to upgrade by clicking “Update”.

Step 1: Click on “User Data” tab
Step 2: Select “…” button to select user data folder
Step 3: Select backup or restore user data
Final Step: Click “Run” button

Load Default
• This function is used to reformat the user data.
Step1: Click on “Load Default” tab
Step2: Click on “Start” button.Mobile terminal will reboot and restore default setting.

Service Programming
• 1255 Service Software provides this function for users to do service programming. So users can easily reading/writing setting data from mobile terminal or files.
• There are three tabs – Setting, CDMA1 and CDMA2.

Click on buttons in the bottom to do read/write actions.

Flexible graphics and tones
• Default graphics and tones files in the mobile terminal could be different in order to satisfy the different settings and requirements.
So they need to be designed for easy and dynamic configuration.

Getting Default Data
• Press and hold the mouse’s left button on either of the directories or files at the right window, e.g. default directory, and move the mouse to either disk or directory at the left window, e.g. D:\. • Release mouse’s left button and it will start copying files from the mobile terminal to the PC.

Setting Default Data

Click on “SID” tab
• This feature is for user to edit 50 SID lock numbers, value range from 0 to 65535.
• Users can read and write from mobile terminal or file.

Testing
Click on “Testing” tab
• This feature is for checking and diagnosing the basic function of mobile terminal. It’s useful to realize which part of mobile terminal working correctly or incorrectly quickly.
• There are four tabs – Self Tests, Display, Keypad and Stereo Audio/Vibra.

Test items: Detection of RUIM and headset, status of headset switch status and charger
• Click each “Run” button to test each item.

Testing – Stereo Audio/Vibrator
Click on “Stereo Audio/Vibra” tab
Test items: Speaker, Receiver, Headset, Vibrator and Microphone. IHF, Mic Bias control, Tx Gain Settings, Rx Gain Settings and frequencies and volume level of buzzer/IHF.
• Click “Clear” button to clear all test result.

Testing – Path Loss
• Set COM port and Input the maximum output power of the golden phone in dBm. Then, click “Start” button to run program.
• After the program is done, the path loss will be shown on the screen and recorded for the RF calibration and Call Test program. Click “Quit” for closing this program.

Select your COM port.
Before clicking this button, be sure to boot your CDMA phone with “Test Mode” (The battery ID pin is connected to a resistor (< 10k Ohm). The other end of the resistor is connected to the ground. ) and connect the COM cable correctly

Always skip this function, since your CDMA phone’s battery ID pin is connected to a resistor (<10k Ohm). The other end of the resistor is connected to the ground.

channel.4. Set the waveform generated by
transmitter5. Set the dynamic range of the Power
Amplifier. Set “OFF” to have low gain range. Set “ON” to have high gain range.
6. Set “OFF” to turn off the transmitter output power. Set “ON” to turn on the transmitter power.
7. Set the Tx ADC value in the range 0~511. Set 511 makes the transmitter generates the minimum output power. Set 0 makes the transmitter generates the maximum output power.
8. Set “ON” makes the transmitter sweep the output power.
9. Read the HDET value of selected channel.
10. Set the LNA range.11. Read the DVGA value while LNA Range
is 0.12. Set the DVGA offset with the value
derived by “11”.13. Read the LNA Offset value.14. Read IM2 value.

• The “Set Online” function is no longer needed since the “Test Mode” and “Online mode “is no longer switched manually. The mode is switched by connect the Batter ID pin to resistor of different value.
