Quality assurance in production

Before every important step in production, our staff checks the materials being used: for example, does the primary material comply with the target dimensions? Does the punched sheet have the correct thickness and width? Every single sta-ge of quality assurance is carefully documented. In the punching machine, a ca-mera checks the functional dimensions of the tray. The finished cable tray is then monitored using various test gauges, to check that the width and wall heights are correct. In the case of RKS-Magic®, regular click-tests ascertain whether cable trays snap together properly.

Quality tests in the research and development department

We test to see whether the new product fulfils our expectations. A year after it was launched, RKS-Magic® was once again tested in detail by our research and development department. Did the cable tray fulfil our expectations? What could we still improve?

Which accessories should we develop? Feedback from our product managers is also very important at this point because it tells us how customers are recei-ving the new product. And outside of our routine quality tests, new products also find their way back into the R&D department if we notice during production that they need to be improved. In which case, our developers immediately work on improving them.

The spring elements are perma-nently attached to the components so you don’t lose them. Simply put them together, snap in place – and you’re done!

Floor socket GES R2 withhinged cover for dry-cleaned floors

The floor socket GES R2 with hinged cover stands out through its fine design. It is the perfect solution for high-quality floor coverings, which are dry-cleaned.

Hinged cover

The locking function of the hinged cover allows a secure outlet for the cab-le routing. When closed, the floor socket is even suitable for wet cleaning.

Floor socket GES R2 for wet-cleaned floors

The tube body seals the closed installation space against the ingress of water, which occurs, for example, when the floor is cleaned. Even if the tube body lid is open for letting out cables, a seal in the lower ring of the installation socket offers protection against the ingress of water. The GES R2 floor socket with tube body thus fulfils the requirements for service outlets in wet-cleaned floors according to EN 50085-2-2.

Tube body

The tube body can be operated with one hand. To open it, the handle clamp is pulled up and, after the audible engaging of the support, turned slightly left and locked.

To insert the cables, it is sufficient to press two pressure points to release the lid. After the connectors have been inserted, the lid is audibly engaged on the tube body ring. The tube body lid is closed again by pressing the pressure points and lowering the lid by turning it to the right slightly.

The floor socket GES R2 with tube body stands out through its com-pact shape and discreet design. Four high-quality surfaces are available: Nickel, brass, chromium and copper.

Blank version with metal lid

The metal lid with bayonet lock can be opened with an Allen key.

This version is particularly suitable for public areas and the supply of temporary installations.

The solution for wet-cleaned floors: The GRAF9 ser-vice outlet is ideally suited for wet-cleaned floors. The GRAF9 is made completely of metal and offers a high load capacity. A variant is available with a ring-shaped structure in the lid surface, along with a variant with a 4 mm floor covering recess in the hinged cover.

High-quality materials

The floor covering protection frame and the hinged cover of the GRAF9 service outlet are made of die-cast aluminium. Its tube body is made from robust die-cast zinc.

Practical tube body

The tube body is the cable outlet for wet-cleaned floors. With just a few actions, this can be opened for cable routing and can just as ea-sily be lowered into the lid of the GRAF9 to be flush with the floor.

Wet care

The GRAF9 service outlet pos-sesses seals in the lid and in the tube body. If the service outlet is opened for cable installation, the 10 mm-high tube body ring pro-tects the electrical installation against the ingress of water. The GRAF9 service outlet with tube body thus fulfils the IP require-ments for installation in wet-cleaned floors.

Loads

The service outlet can withstand ext-reme loads. When installed in a screed box with heavy-duty extension, instal-lation in floor areas with increased load requirements is possible. For more information, refer to the section on heavy-duty systems.

Air termination and down conductor systems

Direct lightning strikes with energy of up to 200,000 A are reliably received by air termination devices and conducted into an earthing system through the arrester system.

Earthing systems

If the conducted lightning current reaches the earthing system, then approximately 50 per cent of the energy is passed into the ground, while the other half is distributed via the equipotential bonding system.

Equipotential bonding systems

These form the interface between external and internal lightning protection. They ensure that dangerous potential differences do not come about in the building.
