Revelation 20:1-11

-Part 16-The Millennium

The mood of Revelation 20 has now shifted and the cloud of evil and darkness is being lifted and we are introduced to the 1,000 (millennial) rule of Jesus Christ. This rule of Christ is the fulfillment of so many Old Testament promises to Israel and the spotlight of God’s program will shift once again to His chosen nation Israel. The nations of the world will come to Israel to worship King Jesus and the promises given to Abraham, David and the nation of Israel will meet their climatic fulfillment!

Matthew 26:26-29• Matthew 26:26-29 26 And as they were

eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.29 But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”

SATAN WILL BE BOUND

Revelation 20:1-3 1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.Isaiah 24:21-22 21 It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord will punish on high the host of exalted ones, And on the earth the kings of the earth. 22 They will be gathered together, As prisoners are gathered in the pit, And will be shut up in the prison; After many days they will be punished.

Jesus Will rule and reign with His

Saints• Revelation 20:4-6 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.


Saints• Zechariah 9:9-10 9 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.10 I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim And the horse from Jerusalem; The battle bow shall be cut off. Saints• Luke 1:32-33 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the

Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

• Matthew 19:28 So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Saints• 1 Corinthians 6:1-4 1 Dare any of you, having

a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?4 If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge?

The Curse of Sin Will Be Reversed

• Isaiah 11:6-9 6 “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them.7 The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox.8 The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den.9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea.


• Isaiah 35:5-6 5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert.

• Romans 8:18-23 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.


• Amos 9:13-15 13 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it.14 I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.15 I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them,” Says the Lord your God.

The Depth of Sin’s Curse is Exposed

• Revelation 20:7-10 7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.


Genesis 6:5-8 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?


Psalm 14:1-3 1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart,“There is no God.” They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good.2 The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.3 They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.Romans 6:23 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
