Why People Abuse Animals

To control the animal so when they are about to do something bad or not listen to their trainer they remember they will get hurt and won’t do it.

To act back when a animal does something bad to get revenge. To get revenge on other people so they attack their pets. To just hurt them because of their breed. To take their anger out on an animal. The pet owner is mad so they beat their pets to make them

see what it feels like. To make themselves seem tough because they abuse their

animals. To shock and scare people for their own amusement. Some hurt animals just for their own pleasure of just torturing

something. http://risingphoenixcharitablefoundation.com/why-this-is-important/nine-reasons-for-animal-abuse/

Killing for No Reason Thousands of greyhound are killed every year due

to not having no racing potential or are injured and can no longer race.

On November 8,2013 in China a dog was killed and beaten by a mob including police officers just for walking into the city.

Dog Fights Dog fighting is a cruel sport where people force

two to fight, usually to the death. There are 40,000 professional dog fighters and

100,000 street fighters. The losing dog may live through the fight but

killed afterward. Dogs are sometimes released on a helpless hog

and the dog usually wins. http://www.humanesociety.org/issues/dogfighting/?credit=web_id94655252# http://www.humanesociety.org/issues/hogdog_fighting/?credit=web_id94655252

Neglect Neglect- is a failure to provide an animal with

food, water, shelter, and veterinary care. Law authorities can remove the animal if these

are not provided. Some people hand over the animals to the

authorities if they do not want the responsibility of taking care of the animal, or if they realize they are doing something hurtful to the animal.

Neglect is one of the two types of animal abuse.

Intentional Cruelty Intentional Cruelty- is when an animal is

purposely beaten, tortured, or even killed. It can be much worse then that and a good indicator of serious human behavior problems.

Most people are arrested for intentional cruelty, but even some people are not prosecuted to the full extent of the laws.
