Plain Verbs ~ require the signer to specify the subject and object:
Inflecting Verbs ~ allows the signer to indicate the subject and object by changing the direction of movement of the sign
Spatial Verbs ~ similar to inflecting verbs; however, allows the signer to change the direction of movement of the sign to indicate location (from here to there). Three Skits ~ Videos

Activity Practice making requests:
See ELMO for picture Practice making request by asking your partner to get the
objects pictured on your page First decide which partner will assign locations for NUMBERED
objects Decide which of you will assign the LETTERED objects Mark your picture (Numbers and Letters in DIFFERENT
locations). Follow this dialogue to MAKING REQUESTS take turns until all
objects are marked (NO VOICING) A: Give reason, request that B get an object form the kitchen B: Agree, ask where A: Identify Location, tell where object is in relates to that location B: (find the object and mark it)
Group Activity
Check out previous group activity MUST HAVE at minimum of 36 voc words.

Must use ASL format at least 4 or more words per statement and must have at least 5 dialogues per person .
Rubric Expectations Come up with an event (party, story telling, trip, work,
activities, etc), with plans, with requests, with help, be creative, props are welcomed. You can discuss your ‘event’ in any way you choose
Make a LIST of choice words with your group (keep it neat and for me to review)
Create your dialogue.. (rough draft DUE TODAY) Be mindful of your theme.. Stick to your topic/story, be
sure to have FLOW, confirmation of the conversation, be sure to affirm.
Must be EXPRESSIVE and in ASL format for better flow. Neatly written dialogue/Typed/Due NEXT CLASS MEETING If you are ‘finished’ with your draft.. PRACTICE your
signs/ASL
