In recent years, we are living in the era of globalization, the amount of exchange and transportation of people as well as various kinds of materials is increasing. Especially in East Asia, developments of economy of China and Korea are remarkable, thus many information, materials and people are moving across the boundaries between these counties and Japan. Even to the Hyogo University of Teacher Education, many students and researchers are visiting from these countries and several international collaborative research works have been carried out. Based on these backgrounds, the authors have projected the international collaborative research work on “Comparison of Contents of Textbooks of Natural Science at Elementary School in Japan, China and Korea”, and the research on the “Natural Science Education of Elementary School in China” was started as the first stage of this project. In this paper, the flow of the units and their outlines in the textbooks of natural science at elementary school currently used in China are reported. When the contents of the textbooks used in China are glanced over from the point of their educational purpose, the weight of the contents useful to the real life, especially to the fundamental knowledge for works such as material production or building constructions, seems large. The number of the young people who get to the work just after the graduation of junior high school is still large in China.
