CONDUCT OF 2019 REGIONAL ASEAN QUIZ BEE

MEMORANDUM TO

1. Pursuant to an Unnumbered Regional Memorandum dated July 29, 2019, a Regional ASEAN Quiz Bee will be conducted on August 30, 2019 at Jose Timbol Central Elementary School, Sta. Maria, Davao del Sur.

2. The activity aims to expose the students to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN) cultural, political, economic and social information.

3. Participants to this activity are as follows: a. Imelda T. Cardines - Division Education Program Supervisor b. Evangeline M. Sarsaba -, O.I.0 .Araling Panlipunan Department Head c. Fretzie R. Ybanez - Teacher-Coach d. Loraine B. Baintin -ASEAN Contestant The contestant must meet the following criteria:

• Must be in grades 9 and 10, between 15 to 17 years old and must not be 18 years by the time of the International Competition by 2020.

• Must have a grade of 85 and above in Social Studies during the 1st quarter of this school year;

• Must come from either public or private school. 4. There will be a showcase of national attire by all participants including the

teacher-coach, principal and supervisor of any of the members of ASEAN during the whole duration of the competition.

5. Morning snacks and lunch of the participants shall be charged against 2018 downloaded funds while travel expenses shall be charged against local and other sources of funds ,all subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
