Michael bravely pulled up thistles by the roots once he realized that their sharp, spiny stems were smooth just above the ground. Meanwhile, his younger sister Becca headed off to do battle with some weed giants. Her plan was to whack at them with a V-headed hoe. Before long, the head of the very old hoe broke clean off.
