(1) Elhdbilitv: a) Emplovee Ward: The candidate's father/ mother/ father-in-law / mother-in-law is an employee or ex-employee (including those separated through Early Separation Scheme) of Tata Steel at ThariaDivision. OR b) Reeistered Relation: The candidate must be a Registered Relation of an employee. If a sponsoring employee has completed 15 years or more and less than 25 years of service but would complete 25 years or more service till the notional superannuation age of 60 years, one of his wards (as per the definition of registered relations) between 18 to 30 years of age as on 01-07-2012 is eligible to apply for recruitment as Trade Apprentice against this category. In case the ward is selected, the sponsoring employee would forfeit claim for future registration! employment on his/her service strength as the selected ward would be deemed to have been employed on the service strength of the sponsoring employee. The employee concerned would be required to submit an undertaking to this effect at the time of submitting the application in response to the advertisement. (2) Minimum Educational Oualification: The candidate must have passed Matriculation or equivalent examination as per board criteria. However, he must have obtained pass marks in English, Science and Mathematics in matriculation or equivalent examination. (3) Aee Criteria: a) For Employee Ward: The candidate must have been born between 01-07-1993 and 01-07-1997 (including these two dates). In case of Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidate, the date of birth is between 01-07-1992 and 01-07-1997 (including these two dates). b) For Registered Relations: The candidate must have been born between 01-07-1982 and 01-07-1994 (including these two dates.) 1

RECRUITMENT OF TRADE APPRENTICES- 2012 (September) Batch

a) The candidates on recruitment as Trade Apprentice will get a stipend at the followingrates provided the performance and conduct is found to be satisfactory:

1st Year2nd Year

3rd year

: RS.2700/- per month: Rs.2800/-per month: Rs.2900/-per month

b) Area of Training: Allotment of Trades will be based on merit of the candidate in thewritten test and interview. Depending on the trade, the training period will be 2 or 3years.

c) The Trade Apprentices Training Programme is governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Go to Tata Steel intranet homepage http://176.0.1.102(intranet)and click onGeneral Services and then on Recruitment

Step 2: Take print of the application, entered successfully as above and submit the sameto the concerned HRIIR executive of the colliery/department for onwardsubmission after scrutiny to the office of Chief (HRIIR) Jharia along with thephotocopies of the marklist of the Matriculation Examination, caste certificateand other documents if required.

(7) Special Instructions:

a) Last date of submission of application

Submission of a hard copy of the duly completed online application is mandatory

b) If a candidate is found to be ineligible at any stage of the selection process orduring the training he will not be considered for apprenticeship or his training willbe terminated, as the case may be.

(8) Selection Process:

a) Written test on Sunday, 12th August 2012, followed by interview and medicalexamination.

b) Those who are found fit, will be offered admission to the programme which isscheduled to commence £Tom24thSeptember 2012
