If the salt is required to be sold as well, the residual water with high concentration of sodium is crystallized in the open-air using a condensation tray.

The energetics of the system is based on air pressure, solar radiation, and vacuum distillation. This system does not only mechanically filter water, but distillates it, due to which clean distilled water is reconverted into clean drinking water of high quality suitable for human consumption.
