+Political cartoons
Political cartoons are an effective way of introducing students to contemporary issues in Australian society
Students should be encouraged to collect and annotate political cartoons
The end-of-year examinations have included political cartoons for students to analyse
Some artists such as Peter Nicholson allow their work to be used by teachers in non-commercial settings so long as acknowledge is made http://www.nicholsoncartoons.com.au/reproduce.php

+YouTube
Why are you using it?
Is it being used instead of “theory”?
Is it being used as a “reward”?
Does it relate to the key knowledge?
Could you teach more effectively without it?
Is the content accurate?
Is it legal?
Will it be there when you need it? http://keepvid.com

+Embedding video in PowerPoint
The PowerPoint document links to where the video is saved when it was first embedded
If you move the location of the video after embedding it, its link with the PowerPoint document is broken
For example, if you save your PowerPoint document to USB it won’t play the video you embedded because the video is still stored on your computer hard-drive You must move the PowerPoint document and video file to
the USB and “redirect” the link
+PDF files
