The students will undergo first three years of study at CUTN campus and the rest of the two years either at CUTN campus or at MSE, Chennai as per their choice.     Ph.D Epidemiology & Public Health

    The minimum academic qualification for admission to the Ph.D. programme is a second class Master’s or equivalent degree in the relevant subject awarded by a recognised university in India or abroad, with at least an average of 55 % of aggregate marks, or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed. In the case of SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/differently-abled candidates, the minimum eligibility is an average of 50 per cent of aggregate marks, or an equivalent grade.

    The programme suits for those candidates who have an interest/ expertise/ practical exposure in the area of epidemiology and public health. Relevant subjects include public health, epidemiology, social work, sociology, MD/ PSM/MVSc/MPH/, M.Sc. Molecular Biology, M.Sc. Biochemistry, Masters in Lifesciences and relevant disciplines.

    Ph.D Geography

    A consistently good academic record and possessing a M.A./M.Sc. / M.Phil. in Geography/Applied Geography obtained from any recognised Indian University or its equivalent, with a minimum of 55% marks for General category and 50% marks for OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories.

    Ph.D Hindi

    A pass in the Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science Programme from a recognized University with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed. A relaxation of 5% may be provided in marks from 55% to 50% to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD (Physical and Visual Disabilities) categories.

    ****#All those candidates who are applying for admission into M.Phil./PhD programmes and have cleared National Level Fellowship Examinations i.e. UGC-JRF / UGC-CSIR-JRF have to apply through CUCET 2019 online portal and they are exempted from CUCET 2019 Entrance Exam. However, they have to appear for INTERVIEW. ONLY shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview. Some of the Departments may conduct Written test at the time of interview, if required. Preference will be given for candidates with JRF.
