How does Vivace Fractional RF Microneedling work?

The Vivace utilizes radio frequency and microneedling to heat the targeted area underneath the epidermis. The Vivace dramatically improves the treatment outcomes compared to other radio frequency microneedling systems.

How is Vivace Performed?First our prescription custom compounded numbing cream is applied to completely numb the treatment area. We then begin by programming the Vivace to the optimal settings based upon your skin type and concerns. Using Vivace’s unique insulated 36 gold plated needle tip and robotic mechanism the needles are inserted into the skin at various depths. We cover every area with two passes and then complete the treatment with a third pass at a more powerful wavelength. The result is an even and comprehensive treatment to address the entire area. The industry leading technology in the Vivace system has 31 depth settings, 20 energy settings and 8 pulse length settings that enable us to customize the treatment and achieve the highest level of precision. Is Vivace Painful?At Nu Image Medspa, we provide our patients with a custom compounded numbing cream that is applied 25 minutes prior to the treatment ensuring 100% comfort throughout the treatment! Plus the Vivace’s ultra-thin needles and unique robotic motor deliver smooth and even insertions into the skin so precise, it brings the discomfort level to a virtual zero as compared to any other device.What Does It Feel Like?With a numbed face, the treatment feels like little more than light pressure to the face, with an occasional, light sparking feeling.

Does Radio Frequency (RF) REALLY work?RF is very effective in newer technology called Fractional RF Microneedling. Vivace bypasses the epidermis, allowing for the Radio Frequency energy to deliver powerful and intense heat into the deeper layers of skin, causing tens of thousands of fractional electrocoagulation zones in the dermis which facilitates a natural wound healing process. Vivace is proven to produce more collagen and elastin to tighten and renew the skin leaving it more youthful in appearance. Older traditional RF devices use a process called “bulk heating” to apply the energy to the surface of the skin, requiring it to deliver a much lower level of heat which will diffuse before reaching deeper layers of the dermis. Damage to the dermis is minimal and coagulation does not occur.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?The number of treatments will vary depending on the condition, however, on average 3 sessions spaced four to six weeks apart are needed to see optimal results. Single treatment protocols are available depending on experience desired.

How Long Does Vivace Take?Each Vivace treatment lasts just 30 to 45 minutes (additional time is required for numbing)

What Is the Recovery Time?Vivace has minimal to no downtime. Your skin may be red in appearance and will be warm to touch. Typically the redness starts to subside even before you even leave the

office. Supplement the treatment with our serums and recovery protocols that create optimal results and faster recovery. By using the right products, our clients are ready for a night out, with very little to no indication of any treatment that day.

When Can I Wear Makeup?Most patients go out hours after the treatment with no makeup at all. To maximize the Vivace treatment during the first four to six hours, use our Soothe Weekly Mask and Soothe Recovery System. Wait at least six hours before you apply makeup, though we recommend waiting until the next morning.

How Long Do The Results Last?Everyone is different, but the collagen and elastin you make is your own and continues accelerated production over the next six months as results improve over time.

What Kind Of Skin Does Vivace Work On?Most skin colors can be treated, including tanned skin and dark skin.
