Teachers are looking forward to incorporating a variety of technological devices to differentiated instruction to all children. Ipads, SMART Boards, and the Elmo are tools that HMS students are able to utilize in our school to engage students in the learning process and educate them in the 21 st century. SynchronEyes, Kid’s College, and Edmodo are interactive websites and software programs that teachers use to enhance their lessons as well. SMART Board lessons are used to introduce probability, coordinate grid, and graphing in 6 th & 7 th grade honors math. Study games are created in the forms of Hollywood squares and jeopardy. 7 th grade students are able to play educational math games on iPads after finishing their assignment which reinforces the lesson of the day. th LANGUAGE ARTS TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION In the 6 th grade, SMART Board and E-Follet Book Shelf are used to teach about textual and graphic features in non-fiction books. 7 th grade teachers use Edmodo before, during, and after a reading novel to have discussions among peers and the teacher. While studying forces of nature, 6th grade science teachers allow students to create tornadoes, earthquakes, and hurricanes through streaming the National Geographic website onto SMART Boards. Students use Edheads.org to predict and gauge the weather during the study of weather.

7th grade students learn the Food Web and Food Chain concepts, on the SMART Board. The science teachers create review games using Connect Four and Jeopardy.

In the 8th grade, Prezi presentations are used to present information over energy transformations, matter, and electricity. Videos are streamed onto the SMART Board from YouTube and United Streaming to enhance the lessons.
