Dear Parents/Carers

After School Clubs

Please find overleaf a list of all the after school clubs that we will be offering at Eversley over the Spring term. All clubs will run from 3:10pm-4:15pm. Clubs will start the week beginning Monday 8 th January and the final sessions will take place the week beginning Monday 19th March.

To book your child onto one or more of our clubs you need to register them by visiting the following website: www.clubsforschools.org and click on the parents’ section. You will need to search for Eversley Primary School – please make sure you select the Eversley Primary School in Pitsea!

We are offering a new range of clubs for the Spring term. Some are brand new whilst others are clubs that we offered last term but children will need to register to attend these clubs this term. Some of our clubs from last term children do not need to register for as they are signed up for the whole year (see overleaf for further details).

There are a range of free clubs being run by Eversley staff and there are also three clubs that require payment as these are being run by a specialist sports coach working for Clubs for Schools. Paid clubs will require payment for the entire term at the point of registration.

The number of pupils for each club is capped, however clubs will operate a waiting list and children will then be invited as places become available. So even if clubs are full please still register your child if they wish to attend. In order to ensure that all children have an equal chance of attending our range of clubs next term, we ask that children are initially registered for just a maximum of two clubs. Notification will be given at a later date when pupils can be registered for additional clubs.

Registration for clubs will be taken on the Clubs for Schools website from Monday 11 th December until Friday 5th January. Please be aware that trying to book a club before Monday 11th December will only result in you registering an interest in the club. This is not a booking. You will still need to book a place in the club once booking has opened.

For families that are unable to book courses online, please contact the school office to register your child.

Y1&2 Lego - Mondays

Pupils that were on the waiting list for this club in the Autumn term will be offered a place for the Spring term. A further letter will be sent out about this.

Winter Warmer Film Club - Mondays

During the Spring term we will be running a Winter Warmer Film Club, where children can spend some time watching a film. In the first half of the term, this will be open to Reception and Year 1&2 children, and in the second half of the term for Years 3-6. Children will need to register to attend this, separate to the online booking system. Look out for more information about this in January.

Tag Rugby Club

We are looking to work with Basildon Rugby Club to offer a tag-rugby club for Year 5 and 6 pupils next term. More information is to follow about this at a later date.
