We focus on areas that have the biggest impact on the lives of women with disabilities in Victoria: violence against women with disabilities access to inclusive health care for women with disabilities the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) access to mainstream services leadership opportunities for women with disabilities Our mission is to lead the way for Victorian women with disabilities and to address barriers faced by many women with a disability. Our organisation: Women with Disabilities Victoria is an organisation run by women with disabilities for women with disabilities. The Board:WDV is governed by a voluntary board of directors who have carriage for the governance of our organisation. Our board is comprised of women with disabilities who are elected by the WDV membership from its membership base. Our board have an extensive range of professional and life experience which helps to ensure that WDV delivers on our mission, vision and governance responsibilities.What we are looking for:

We are seeking women with disabilities, who live in Victoria, who are members of WDV and are interested in nominating for the Board of Directors.  In addition, the board also has two positions for co-opted directors who provide additional skills required by the Board (which attracts equal voting rights).  If you are interested in being co-opted to the Board please contact the Chair of the WDV Board at [email protected]
