PERSON SPECIFICATION
1. Proven administration and HR experience.
2. Attainment of a CIPD Level 3 qualification or higher in HR is desirable
3. Proven experience of advising Managers on disciplinary and grievance issues as well
as the complaints and whistleblowing procedures and performance management.
4. Ability to demonstrate an organised and diligent work ethic and the ability to
manage a busy and conflicting workload, going over and above to complete tasks, in
order to meet individual and team deadlines,.
5. Proven experience of verbatim minute taking to a high standard
6. Demonstrate excellent I.T. skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience of
managing an HR database to a high standard.
7. Ability to work closely with management and employees to improve work
relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
8. Demonstrate a high standard of spelling and grammar
9. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, non-verbal
and written and experience of holding challenging conversations with colleagues,
other departments and management.
10. Have a flexible approach to the task and resilience under pressure.

JOB DESCRIPTION
1. To advise managers on best practice for disciplinary, capability, grievance,
complaints and whistleblowing issues, following guidance from the company
employment law advisers; including taking minutes for HR meetings and reporting to
the HR Assistant Manager on a regular basis.
2. To advise managers on performance management issues and assist them in the
relevant meetings.
3. To log all whistleblowing, concerns, complaints and grievances on centralised
databases.
4. To prepare and undertake meeting minutes for investigations, disciplinary and
grievance meetings.
5. To undertake a HR reports competently and accurately, sticking to deadlines.6. To assist with change management consultations.
7. To manage own learning on employment law and to share this with other colleagues
within the HR team.
8. To manage own personal and continuous professional development through self-
assessment, supervision, training, and the acquisition of different learning
opportunities in HR.
9. To maintain accurate records and send reminders for probation periods, annual
appraisals and the Fair Pay Panel and administer relevant documentation
10. To be a positive advocate for Fair Ways and represent the company in a professional
and competent manner.
11. Any other duties as may be required by your Line Manager/ Director.
