Section 1

1. Text effect options:Use the following words to fill in the blanks for the explanations provided in the table below:strikethrough, double strikethrough, superscript, subscript, small caps, all caps, equalize character height

      Used to stretch the text to make all the characters of the same height

3. Open the presentation named Food. Save the presentation as Food Safety-your name.

4. Go to slide 1. Change the layout of the slide to Title slide.Insert your name in the subtitle placeholder.

5. Select the title Food Safety and change the case to Uppercase (important: you must not re-type the text – use the correct command in the Font group).

Change the font as specified below:Font style: ArialFont size: 60 ptFont colour: dark green (olive)Font effect: shadow

6. Go to slide 2. Select the title HYGIENE and change the case to Capitalise Each Word.Make this title bold.

7. Use the Decrease List Level command to promote the text Clean chopping boards to Level 1 (which is the same level as the bulleted list).

8. Select the bulleted list on slide 2 and change the line spacing to 1.5

9. Go to slide 3. The layout of this slide is not suitable; change the slide layout to Title and Content. Format the title Food Storage to bold.

10. Go to the second bulleted item which reads Store raw meat and add the following text to the bulleted list: on the bottom shelf

11. Delete the bullet point and text Check if it’s suitable for freezing ensuring there is no empty space between the bulleted lines.

12. Add the following bulleted line after the text Dry storage and before the text No light or heat

Air tight

13. Use the Increase List Level command to demote the following lines of text to Level 2:

Store raw meat on the bottom shelfCheck ‘use-by’ dateDefrost thoroughlyAir tightNo light or heat

14. Format the following lines of text to italics:

RefrigerateFreezeDry storage

Slide 3 should now look like this:

15. Insert a new slide after slide 3 and change the layout of the slide to Title and Content.Enter the text Food Preparation in the title placeholder. Format this title to bold.

The bulleted text for this slide can be found on another presentation. Open the presentation named Food Preparation. Copy the bulleted list in the placeholder on slide 1.

Return to the presentation named Food Safety-yourname and paste this list into the placeholder below the title on slide 4.

16. Change the bulleted list to a numbered list. Select the numbered list displayed on the right.

17. Select the numbered list and change the Line Spacing After option to 18 pt.

18. Change the font colour of the titles on slides 2, 3 and 4. You can use any colour of your choice as long as they are visible and contrast against the slide background.

19. Change the background colour of slide 3 only to a light green shade.

20. Save the presentation keeping the same filename.

21. View the presentation as a slide show ensuring that you are using the From Beginning command. When finished close the presentation.

Section 2

1. Open the presentation named Guidelines.

2. Go to slide 1. Highlight the copyright symbol in the subtitle placeholder. Apply a Superscript text effect to this symbol.

3. Go to slide 4. Move the last two lines of the bulleted text:

Limit information to essentialsAvoid abbreviations & acronyms

to become the last two lines of slide 2. Slide 2 should now have 4 lines of bulleted text.

4. Select the bulleted list on slide 2 and change the Line Spacing Before to 6 pt and the Line Spacing After to 12 pt.

5. Go to slide 3 and select the bulleted list. Change the Line Spacing After to 12 pt.

6. Indent the bulleted list on this slide to 1.4 cm.

7. Change the font style of the last bulleted item Fancy fonts are difficult to read to Curlz MT.

8. Go to slide 4. Change the font size of each line as instructed below:

Text to be highlighted/selected: Change to font size:Minimum 36 pt for titles 36This is 28 font 28This is 20 font 20

9. Go to slide 5. Select the placeholder beneath the title and centre align the text. Change the vertical alignment of the text to middle.HINT: use the Align Text command – do NOT change the size of the placeholder.

10. Apply the following effects to the placeholder:

Shape Fill: No Fill

Shape Outline: Red, weight 3 pt

Shape Effect: Shadow, Outer, Offset Centre

11. Apply the following formatting/effects to the text listed below:

12. Apply a light blue background (Blue, Accent 1, lighter 80%) to ALL the slides in the presentation.

13. Save the presentation as Guidelines-yourname and close the document.

1. Open the presentation named Carpet Cleaning. View the presentation as a slide show before you make any changes.

2. Change the design theme of the entire presentation to SOHO - you can find this theme in the From Office.com section.

3. Make the following amendments to the slides:

4. Save the presentation as Carpet-yourname.

5. When you have finished all the above, save this existing document (ECDL PP task 2) as PP Task 2-yourname. Close the presentation. Exit the application.
