bed, her coppery hair disheveled. She is asleep. She is having a dream. She rocks and claws the bedALICE: No.We see ALICE’s dream. (Archive footage from Friday the 13th) ALICE comes running out of the main cabin, running right up to MRS. VOORHEES. She is a middle-aged lady with gray-blond hair in a boyish haircut and a dingy gray sweater.ALICE: Who are you?MRS. VOORHEES: Well I- I’m Mrs. Voorhees, and old friend of the Christy’s.ALICE, was working at a summer camp, CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE, owned by STEVE CHRISTY, when the counselors and MR. CHRISTY himself were brutally murdered. We come back to reality. ALICE breathes hard. We go into her dream again; ALICE hysterically tries to explain her fear to the womanALICE: No, no they’re all dead, they’re all deadMRS. VOORHEES: Alright, I’ll go lookALICE: No, please don’t leave me. They’ll kill you too!MRS. VOORHEES: I’m not afraid(MRS> VOORHEES walks into the cabin, followed by ALICE)(We go back to reality. MRS. VOORHEES: Did you know that a young boy drowned, the year before those two others were killed. The counselors weren’t paying any attention; they were making love while that young boy drowned. His name was Jason MRS. VOORHEES steps closer. Alice gets uncomfortable, backing up slowly. MRS.VOORHEES: I was working that day that it happened. Preparing meals. Here, I was the cook. MRS. VOORHEES grabs ALICE, shaking her. ALICE is a little startled.MRS. VOORHEES: Jason should have been watched every minute! He was-(LAUGHS) He wasn’t a very good swimmer. (STROKES ALICE’S HAIR) We can go now dearBack to reality, ALICE continues to react, shaking her head violently.ALICE: NOO!CABIN: NIGHT/DREAMMRS. MRS. VOORHEES: Look what you did to him!ALICE spins around, hands searching for a weapon. She grabs an iron FIRE POKER. MRS. VOORHEES charges with the knife, screaming maniacally. Hate in her eyes. Rage. Alice swings the poker, connecting with MRS. VOORHEES’s arm. The knife clatters to the floor. MRS.VOORHEES falls onto the couch. ALICE hits the crazed killer in the back with the poker and runs from the cabin. Back to realityALICE: No. (SHAKING HEAD)Back to the dream. ALICE runs to the Jeep and throws the door open. ANNIE, a counselor is sitting in the seat, neck a gaping wound. ALICE screams. ALICE runs from the JEEP when MR. CHRISTY, the owner, falls down from a tree, a knife in his midsection. ALICE screams. Back to reality. ALICE shakes her head. The dream. The moon. We hear MRS. VOORHEES talking in a childlike voice.MRS. VOORHEES: Kill her Mommy. Kill her! She can’t hide. No place to hide. Get her Mommy! Get her. Kill her. Kill her.THE LAKE: NIGHT/DREAMMRS. VOORHEES swings a boat oar. The flat end smashes into ALICE’s hip. ALICE screams and hits the ground. The insane woman brings the broken end down. ALICE rolls out of the way and the oar buries into the mud. ALICE climbs on top of MRS. VOORHEES. They roll back and forth, wrestling. They roll across the ground, fighting, grunting, and kicking. MRS. VOORHEES pins ALICE down, choking her. MRS. VOORHEES bites ALICE on the arm. ALICE screams and throws her off. ALICE runs towards the discarded MACHETE on the sand. MRS. VOORHEES grabs ALICE’s leg. MRS. VOORHEES pounces, bashing ALICE’s head on the groundALICE: Get off me! OW!

ALICE bites MRS. VOORHEES on the arm and throws her off. ALICE runs to the MACHETE and picks it up. MRS. VOORHEES gasps as ALICE runs over in slow motion and slices MRS. VOORHEES’s head off her shoulders. The decapitated body’s hands grasp at the air as the body and the head hit the ground. ALICE stares in shock.)INT. BEDROOM: NIGHT/REALITYALICE has her hands to her head, trying to wake up from the traumatic event. She breathes hard.)LAKE: MORNING/DREAMALICE sits in the middle of the lake in a canoe. POLICE OFFICERS stand on the shore. ALICE is battered and tired after the night. Peaceful music plays. She runs her fingers in the water. All of a sudden, JASON as a young boy leaps out of the water. Decayed. Deformed. He grabs Alice and pulls her into the water.)INT. BEDROOM: NIGHT/REALITYAlice reacting to the dreamINT. HOSPITAL/DREAMALICE lies in a hospital bed. A POLICE OFFICER, a DOCTOR and a NURSE surround her.)OFFICER: Two of my men pulled you out of the lake. We thought you were dead too. Do you remember very much?ALICE thinks for a momentALICE: The boy. Is he dead too?OFFICER: Who?ALICE: The boy. JasonOFFICER: Jason?

ALICE: In the lake. The one who attacked me. The one who pulled me underneath the waterOFFICER: Mam, we didn’t find any boyALICE: Then he’s still there (ECHOING) Still there, still there…INT> BEDROOM: NIGHT/REALITYALICE jolts awake, sitting upright. She sighs. Just a dream. She slides out of the bed. She walks wearily across the hall into the bathroom.ALICE: Oh GodShe washes her face. She grabs a towel and dries her face. RRING! The phone rings. ALICE turns to the doorway. She drops the towel and walks into the hallway. It rings again. Alice strolls into the LIVING ROOM and picks up the phone.ALICE: Hello? (Pause) Hi Mom. I know, I’m sorry. I meant to call earlier, but I fell asleep. (She sighs) Really, I’m fine. I need a little time alone, that’s all. I know you and Dad worry. (She plops into a chair) I appreciate that. Come on Mom, we’ve been through all of this before. I just have to get my life back together, and this is the only way I know how! Look, Mom please, it’s getting late and I really don’t want to get into it. (ANGRILY) I’ll call you tomorrow. Bye ALICE hangs up. She sighs and shoves her hands in her pockets and walks into the hallway. She walks down the hallway to the kitchen at the other end of the house. She looks at some sketches she drew resting on the table. They’re very good. Mostly self portraits. Alice then walks into the hall and then into the bedroom. She undresses; we only see the clothes as she tosses them onto the bed. She comes out in a robe and walks into the bathroom. We hear shower curtains opening and the water running and the curtains closing as ALICE takes a shower. The

CAMERA PANS forward as we enter the bathroom. We get closer and closer to the shower as the…CURTAINS RIP OPEN and ALICE stares at us. The PHONE RINGS.INT. HALLWAY/NIGHTALICE comes out in a robe, drying her face. The phone continues to ring. Getting annoyed, she walks into the living room and picks up the phoneALICE: MomNo response. There’s silence on the other endALICE: Hello?She hangs up and looks around nervously. Ominous music starts to play as she walks into the foyer and chain locks the front door. She looks out the window, paranoid. She walks into the hallway. She peers uneasily into the bedroom. CRASH! She jumps, turning to the KITCHEN. ALICE stares at the kitchen, walking down the hall. The kitchen window is open. She enters the Kitchen and looks around. Alice picks up a long, sharp ICEPICK. She edges to the window and when she gets close, an orange and white CAT leaps through the window. ALICE leaps out of her skin and sighs with relief. The cat jumps on the kitchen table. He turns around and looks at ALICE. It meows. She sets the ice pick on the counter and turns the tea kettle on.ALICE: Kitty. You want something to eat? Hmm?ALICE moves to the refrigerator and opens it. MRS. VOORHEES’s DECAPITATED DECAYED HEAD sits on a shelf! ALICE throws her hands to her face, screaming with horror. Then a meaty hand grabs ALICE by the neck. The other hand plunges the ICEPICK into her TEMPLE! She screams. The cat doesn’t know what is going on. It paws at ALICE, meowing. The tea kettle starts to whistle. The

KILLER promptly reaches over and takes the tea kettle off the eye, stopping the whistling. The screen bleeds to white. SUPERIMPOSE: BLACK SCREENThe words FRIDAY THE 13TH in big, block letters flies at the screen and explodes, revealing PART 2 underneath. The opening credits beginEXT. TOWN/CRYSTAL LAKE: DAYA black pick-up truck drives down the rural road. Two teenagers, JEFF, handsome, muscular, blond sits at the wheel. His girlfriend SANDRA, short, thin and frizzy-haired sits in the passenger seat.JEFF: Alright, keep your eyes peeled. I think we’re getting closeBirds chirp as the TRUCK drives into CAMERA. We see from the teens POV as they approach an EXXON station in a small country town. Old-fashioned stores line the street.SANDRA: Hey, there’s the gas station.The truck comes to a halt and JEFF and SANDRA hop out. RALPH, the town crazy, watches them as he stands beside his bicycle. He is old and eccentric, with a dirty fedora. He tried to warn the teens that were going to CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE during the first massacre, but nobody listened to him. He stands outside a COUNTRY GROCERY.JEFF: Ok, let’s call TEDJEFF and SANDRA run over to a phone booth on the side of the store-lined street and go inside. JEFF inserts some coins and picks up the phone. In the BG, A tow truck starts backing up towards JEFF’s truck.JEFF: (To phone) Hey TEDDY, Buddy! We just rolled in. Yeah, yeah SANDRA’s here

Yeah, ok, ok (To SANDRA) Give me the directionsSANDRA reaches in her pocket and pulls out a slip of paper and hands it to JEFF.JEFF: (To PHONE) Here, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait! Alright. Ok, go ahead I’m readyJEFF writes things down as TED talksJEFF: (WRITING) Alright. Old North Road. Then look for a Dairy Queen (THEY LAUGH) Ok and then uh overRAPLH appears RALPH: I told the othersJEFF and SANDRA face RALPH, surprisedRALPH: They didn’t believe me. You’re all doomed. You’re all doomedRALPH leaves and JEFF and SANDRA watch him leave, puzzled. JEFF and SANDRA stare at each otherJEFF: (To Phone) What? Oh no, NothingRALPH pedals away on his bicycleJEFF: No, go ahead, no. Alright, SoJEFF starts writing againJEFF: Covered Bridge, ok.In the BG, JEFF’s truck is being towed away

They’re towing us!SANDRA runs towards the tow truck as it lifts the truck and starts drivingJEFF: Oh S—t Ted, I’ll call you back!JEFF and SANDRA race towards the truckSANDRA: Hey!JEFF: Hey wait!SANDRA: Mister!JEFF: Hey!They run toward the truck and try to stop it and the tow truck keeps drivingSANDRA: HEY!JEFF catches up to the window, yelling at the driver. The DRIVER ignores himJEFF: This is my truck!He beats the windowJEFF: Come on! This is my truck! A—hole! This is my truckThe truck keeps driving. The driver acts like he doesn’t know. It speeds up and JEFF stops.JEFF: Aahhhh!

JEFF takes his hat off, furious. SANDRA runs behind JEFF. The tow truck turns a corner. JEFF and SANDRA race after the truck, carrying their truck. They speed around the corner. Legs pumping. The truck pulls into a driveway. JEFF and SANDRA catch up. They stop and the truck stops. They hear laughter and TED is standing in front of a house, laughing. TED is a tall, gawky redhead that just finished a practical joke. He leans against a treeTED: Welcome to God’s countryHe laughsJEFF and SANDRA run at himJEFF: You wrecked s—t!JEFF playfully charges TED, ramming him. They laugh. JEFF throws his hat at TED. TED laughs like a kidTED: (To tow truck driver) Thanks Max!The DRIVER smiles and starts lowering the truckTED: MAX owns the gas stationSANDRA wraps her arms around TED while JEFF catches his breathTED: He’s crazy tooSANDRA: I should have knownTED: This is great to see you guys, this is going to be just like old timesJEFF: Yeah. Cornfields line the sides of the country road. The black pick-up truck drives down the road. TED, JEFF, and SANDRA are piled insideJEFF: So TED, what’s the scoop? How do you like that Paul that’s running the course?TED: Yeah, he’s OK. He’s kind of macho, though, you know? He takes the whole thing very seriously (He mocks Paul. They laugh) we’ll probably get a brownie badge to wear if we survive.SANDRA: If we survive?TED: That’s right. Didn’t I tell you you’re going to be a second assistant?JEFF: Oh GodTED laughs. They start driving through the woods. Sounds familiar...)TED: Listen...Ok there’s a bear and a rabbit in the woods see, and they’re both taking a dump. So the bear looks down at the rabbit and he says “Good evening Mr. Rabbit, do you have a problem with s—t sticking to your fur”? And the rabbit goes “No, Mr. Bear”. They both start pulling the log, emitting grunts of effort. SANDRA looks around uneasilySANDRA: This place is spookyThey pull the log towards the side of the roadJEFF: Looks like somebody dragged it out hereTED: What for?SANDRA walks off the road and a little ways into the woods. EXT. WOODS/DAY: POVSOMEONE watches as SANDRA walks deeper into the woods. BIRDS chirp. SANDRA sees something in the underbrush. She pulls branches away and picks up a plank of woodSANDRA: Hey you guys, look at this!EXT. WOODS/DAYTED and JEFF walk over to SANDRA. They read the plank of wood. It reads “CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE. Familiar.TED: Camp Blood. This place is on the same lake we’re going to beJEFF: Camp Blood?SANDRA: Hey isn’t that the-TED: Forget it; we’re going to be lateSANDRA: Can’t we take a look?TED: No wayTED apparently doesn’t want to talk about the massacre at Crystal Lake. TED walks up to the roadJEFF: What’s the problem?

JEFF follows TEDTED: You don’t want to know about it, believe me. Not before lunchSANDRA glances at the sign again and tosses it back into the brush. She strolls back up to the roadEXT. WOODS/DAY: POVSOMEONE watches her as she walks. She looks at the camera and then walks out of frameEXT. ROAD/DAYSANDRA walks up to the truck as JEFF and TED hop in. They pile in the truckEXT. ROAD/DAY: POVSOMEONE watches the teens, trespassing on their property. The TRUCK starts up as an eerie hand reaches up, pulling branches back. SANDRA, JEFF, and TED drive away in the truckCUT TO: The plank with CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE sits on the groundCUT TO:EXT. CAMP PACKANACK/LODGE/DAYA hand rings a bell hanging on the porch of the MAIN LODGE. This is CAMP PACKANACK, a summer camp settled in right beside the now boarded up CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE. The MAIN LODGE is large with green-vinyl walls with a large porch. Picnic tables sit out in front of the lodge. Trees shade the camp. We see the lake behind the lodge. PAUL HOLT, head counselor, tall, handsome and blond rings the bell, signaling the counselors for a meeting. COUNSELORS come out of the LODGE and pass PAUL. MORE COUNSELORS run up the steps from the lake. JEFF and SANDRA hurry up the steps.

EXT. COUNSELORS CABINS/DAYMARK, a counselor in a wheelchair, rolls past the girl’s cabin. He is handsome and dark-haired, very beefy. Too bad a motorcycle incident paralyzed him from the waist down. VICKY, a female counselor, pretty and brunette, comes out of the girl’s cabin. She sees MARK.VICKY: (Grabbing wheelchair) Need some help?MARK: Aw, uh, no. ThanksMARK rolls awayEXT. WOODS/DAYTERRI, a female counselor jogs down a path. Her white Shih-Tzu, MUFFIN, runs with her. TERRI is pretty with her brown hair styled in a short, boyish haircut. MUFFIN barks. TERRI stops and starts to briskly walk down the path. A HAND comes into view, pulling branches back. CUT TO: TERRI’s butt as she walksCUT TO: SOMEONE pulls a slingshot and firesCUT TO: TERRI. The rock hits her in the butt. She grabs her butt and turns aroundTERRI: Ow!SCOTT, another counselor steps out of the woods, smiling, holds a slingshot. He is tall and muscular, with wavy black hair. TERRI glares at him. She turns around and keeps walkingEXT. MAIN LODGE/DAYPAUL sits on the porch. The counselors get seated on the tables in front of PAUL. They chatter

TERRI, VICKY, you two were upstate last summer. SCOTT! Hi good to see you here, Buddy! You need itThey laughPAUL: And MARK, I know we’ve worked a season or two together, right? Ok, the rest of you, I’m sure I’ll get to know soon enough. And I’m also sure there’s one thing I don’t have to tell any of you. Being a counselor isn’t the gravy summer job everyone thinks it is.CUT TO:EXT. ROAD/DAYOLD RALPH pedals down the dirt road on his bike. A red VOLKSWAGON drives down the road, behind RALPH. RALPH pulls over on his bike and the BEETLE drives on by. It sputters as it bumbles down the road, and drives through the gate into CAMP PACKANACK. RALPH watchesCUT TO:EXT. MAIN LODGE/DAYPAUL is still talking to the eager counselorsPAUL: Now what we’re going to do over the next two weeks is, if the rest of my staff ever show up, is go back to basics. SANDRA laughs as all the counselors watch. PAUL walks up the road. GINNY follows. PAUL walks up the steps onto the porch of the OFFICE as GINNY enters as well. INT. CAMP OFFICE/DAYPAUL: What is this crap Ginny, you’re supposed to be my assistant. Everybody else got here hours ago. GINNY sits on the desk.GINNY: I said I was sorry PAUL: You did? GINNY: I’m sorry. Ok? Well, my cars sickPAUL: Well, you could have called. GINNY: PAUL, I tried, but your phones aren’t even working yet.PAUL: Oh. Ok, um. The lake is blue as ever. A raft sits out in the middle and a lifeguard tower looms over the water. COUNSELORS run down to the glistening lake. JEFF appears, walking towards the LAKE. SANDRA pops into frame and grabs JEFF. She wears a striped bikini top and blue jean shorts.SANDRA: JEFF.JEFF: What?SANDRA: Are you ready?JEFF: For what?SANDRA: Camp Blood.JEFF: Paul said we’re not supposed to go near that place.SANDRA: Oh come on, it’s only a short walk. They step over a barbwire fence. A POV watches from behind a tree. JEFF and SANDRA walk on through the restricted area, passing the prowler as the BLACK BOOT steps out, watching them. It walks after them.

JEFF and SANDRA walk down a small hill, crashing through the brush. They stop and look down at a DEAD DOG! It looks deadly similar to MUFFIN. The dog is mauled. It looks like it was eaten by something…or someone.

SANDRA: Oh My God!

JEFF: What is it?

SANDRA: Looks like a dog.

JEFF attentively bends down and examines the body

OFFICER: Look, Holt. People say what you’re doing with these kids is great, and you’ve got a good reputation. But if I was you, I’d relocate in the next county. You’re too close. Things have been quiet for 5 years, and that’s the way we want to keep it.

PAUL: So do I, Officer, so do I. (To JEFF and SANDRA) Ok you two, take off, and I’ll talk to you at dinner, alright?

JEFF puts an arm around SANDRA and they walk. They step towards the shore and JEFF throws a rock into the clear lake.

A POLICE CAR bumps down the gravel road. The OFFICER that caught JEFF and SANDRA is inside driving. We see the inside of the CAR and as he’s driving, a fleeting figure darts into the woods towards CRYSTAL LAKE. The OFFICER stops the car, thinking it’s a trespasser. He gets out.

We see the trespassers BLACK BOOTS walking, striding briskly and easily. Crunching over the ground.

DILAPADATED SHACK. It is poorly built with cardboard, old wood, tarp, and tin sheets. Nestled in the middle of the forest. The OFFICER uneasily walks towards the shack and pushes the rickety door open. The DOOR creaks. He moves inside the small shack. Dirty and grimy. A couple of old chairs, a dresser, a bucket and some other junk scatter the small room. The OFFICER walks around and opens a cupboard door to reveal nothing. He then walks over to the other side of the room and pulls open a tattered curtain. A small outhouse-like room. A toilet with brown water sits inside. SUDDENLY a piece of the wall falls with a CRASH. The OFFICER spins around. Nothing. Then he opens another door and his face twists into terror. It’s always the last door. We don’t see

It is nighttime now and everybody is seated at tables on the porch of the PACKANACK LODGE. Everybody is eating and talking. GINNY and PAUL sit at the end of the porch.

PAUL beats his hand on the table.

PAUL: Ok people. Today was fun and games right?

There is a chorus of sarcasm.

PAUL: Well I like to start you out slow; we’ll ease you into it. Alright, tomorrow we’ll get serious.

SCOTT: (Fake yawning) You know, I’m pretty tired. I think I’ll stick around too.

He smiles at TERRI.

Some counselors get up to take their plates. MARK sits by VICKY.

VICKY: Hey, you staying?

MARK: Yeah. Nothing spoils a party faster than a drunk in a wheelchair.

VICKY: That’s crap. Look, we can go together if you want.

MARK: I appreciate that. But I’m in uh…training.

VICKY: Then I’m staying too.

MARK: Suit yourself.

We PAN to GINNY, PAUL and TED walking across the porch.

PAUL: How about it, Second in Command, You coming?

GINNY: You buying?

PAUL: Yeah

TED points to JEFF and snaps.

GINNY’s CAR and JEFF’s TRUCK drive down the road out of the camp. The only counselors left are SCOTT, TERRI, JEFF, SANDRA, MARK, and VICKY.The counselors that are leaving whoop and shout from in the cars.Ted yells.

TED: Beer time!

The staying counselors yell at them to Be safe and Have fun!

CUT TO: LODGE/NIGHT

MARK, VICKY, JEFF, SANDRA and TERRI stand on the porch.

MARK: See you later!

JEFF: Bring my truck back in one piece!

SANDRA: Bring me a beer!

GINNY’s CAR and JEFF’S TRUCK drive off into the night.

TERRI walks off of the porch of the LODGE.

TERRI: I’m going for a walk.

VICKY: We’ll wait up for you, alright?

VICKY holds open the LODGE door for MARK and rolls inside. JEFF and SANDRA take the flag down off the roof and roll it up. JEFF and SANDRA walk inside the LODGE with the flag.

JEFF: (To MARK) Go, Scooter.

The LODGE door BANGS shut and the porch lights turn off. A SHADOW walks past the LODGE.

We see from a distance over the forest, the partying counselors driving, headlights glowing. The moon is full.

PAUL: Now I know how you can afford tuition into grad school. You always find some fool to fix your car and buy you a beer

GINNY chuckles.

GINNY: You got it.

The cars drive along down the darkened road. It’s a full moon, shining down over the vast woods.

CUT TO: LAKE/NIGHT

TERRI walks down the embankment towards the lake. She steps onto the sandy shore and looks out at the shimmering lake. She hears footsteps and whirls around.

TERRI: Muffin?

CUT TO: BAR/NIGHT

GINNY’s CAR and JEFF’S TRUCK pull up to the BAR. GINNY backs her car into a parking space. The BAR is long and low, white, and built on a platform, flashing signs in the windows.

GINNY: Yeah, here we are!

JEFF’S TRUCK pulls into a space. They whoop and holler. The bed of the pick-up truck is full of ready-to-get-drunk teenage counselors.TED: Everybody get out for some beer!

They all HOP out of the car and truck, scattering all over the parking lot.

The water ripples as the moon shines over the water. Frogs and crickets sing. TERRI stands on the shore. She pulls off her shirt and tosses it aside. Next comes the pants which she unties and slides off. She then walks into the water naked and dives in it, swimming through the relaxing water as the crickets chirp. A POV watches her.

CUT TO: INT. MAIN LODGE/NIGHT

CLOSE UP: A deer head mounted on the wall.

MARK is arm-wrestling JEFF on the table in the den. VICKY sits beside MARK, cheering him on.

VICKY: Come on Mark, come on

JEFF strains and struggles. His veins bulge.

VICKY: (LAUGHS) Come on. You’re going to lose

MARK wins, pinning JEFF’s arm. JEFF shoots back up and using both arms slams MARK’s arm down and laughs.

MARK: Hey!

VICKY: Cheater.

SANDRA walks down the stairs.

JEFF: OK, OK, OK. Two out of three.

They start to arm wrestle again, but SANDRA walks over and leans on the table, getting close to JEFF.

SANDRA: (Seductively) JEFF, don’t wear yourself out. You want to wrestle, come with me.

The rippling water shimmers. TERRI dives to the surface, taking a breath. She starts swimming towards the shore.

A HAND reaches out and grabs TERRI’s clothes.

TERRI swims towards the shore and gets up, sloshing through the shallow water, covering her chest with her hands. She gets to the shore and looks around for her clothes. She looks around, confused. SCOTT steps out from behind the lifeguard stand, holding her clothes.

SCOTT: Looking for something?

SCOTT tosses her shoes and pants on the sand. TERRI gives him a look and runs towards her clothes. She puts on her shoes and her pants. SCOTT laughs. TERRI grabs a towel and chases SCOTT into the woods who runs away with her shirt.

SCOTT: Come and get it!

TERRI: Give me my shirt, SCOTT!

SCOTT dangles the shirt out as TERRI runs after him. He keeps running.

They run into a clearing and SCOTT holds the shirt out and TERRI grabs at it, but misses as SCOTT pulls it back.

TERRI: It’s no longer funny, SCOTT!

SCOTT backs up and suddenly is jerked off of his feet and hung upside down in a bear snare. He swings back and forth upside down, screaming. TERRI finally gets what she wanted.

SCOTT: Help! G*d**n that PAUL and his wilderness b*lls**t!

TERRI walks over to SCOTT.

TERRI walks up the path past the LODGE and towards the GIRLS cabin. She opens the door and tries the light, but it won’t work. She groans and tries the lamp. Negative. She opens a drawer and starts looking for a knife. She bends down and tries a bottom drawer. She then stands up.

CUT TO: WOODS/NIGHT

SCOTT hangs, swaying gently. He looks around.

SCOTT: Where is she?

Then a HAND grabs his hair. SCOTT’S EYES FLY OPEN AS HIS THROAT IS SLASHED WITH A MACHETE! BLOOD splatters all over his neck.

CUT TO: INT. GIRLS CABIN/NIGHT

TERRI walks over to her closet and opens it and starts digging around. A BAG falls down on her back and she screams. She whips around and sighs. She unzips the bag and pulls out a pocketknife. She exits the cabin and walks down the path towards the lake.

TERRI walks over to SCOTT hanging there, nonmoving. She doesn’t know he’s dead.

CUT TO: BAR/NIGHT

An electric guitar is strummed onstage, blasting rock. The drums kick in as the band starts to play. The bar is crowded and noisy. Dancing teens and adults. Yelling. Drinking beer. We pan across the floor as a WAITRESS serves beer to people sitting at the counter. We PAN over to TED, PAUL and GINNY sitting at the counter, sipping beer. TED looks through the bottles like binoculars and makes a funny noise. They LAUGH. TED has a lot of beer bottles in front of him. All empty.

WAITRESS: Are you sure you don’t want me to clear those.

TED: No, I’m collecting these.WAITRESS: Have it your way, honey, I just don’t want the bar to fall down on you.

TED: Thanks.

They LAUGH.

PAUL: I think she likes you

TED: I think so too.

TED: You know, this whole thing’s ridiculous, really. I mean, two of our kids got hauled in today. 5 years ago, a girl panics and falls out of a canoe. It’s absurd.

GINNY: No what if there is some kind of boy or beast running around CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE. I mean, let’s try to think beyond the legend, I mean put it in real terms. What would it be like today? Some sort of out-of-control psychopath? A frightened retard? A child trapped in a man’s body?

TED makes fun of that idea, poking his stomach and sounding like a child. PAUL laughs. GINNY rolls her eyes.

GINNY: He’d be grown by now, right?

PAUL: Right.

GINNY: And you know, the only person who ever knew him was his mother. He never went to school so he didn’t have any friends. She was everything to him.

PAUL: Yeah. Deranged killer.

They LAUGH. They’ll find out.

GINNY: No, no, no. You’re missing my whole point. I mean, I doubt Jason would have even known the meaning of death, or at least until that horrible night. He must have seen the whole thing happen. He must have seen his mother get killed, all just because she loved him. I mean, isn’t that what her revenge was all about. Her sense of loss, her rage at what she thought happened, her love for him. Bizarre, isn’t it? I mean he must be out there right now crying for return. Her resurrection.

TED and PAUL look at each other, trying to hide a smile.

GINNY: What do you think?

PAUL: I think you’re drunk.

PAUL: Jason’s a legend, Ginny, a legend.

GINNY sighs and slumps in her chair, shoving her hands in the pockets of her denim jacket.

CUT TO: MAIN LODGE/NIGHT/POV

Someone watches through the window of the MAIN LODGE as MARK sits at the table, playing a handheld. VICKY walks over and sits at the table, watching MARK. She snatches the game and starts playing it herself. We walk over to another window and look in where SANDRA sits on JEFF’s lap on the couch in the living room. They embrace and kiss.

CUT TO: INT. MAIN LODGE/NIGHT

SANDRA sits on JEFF, kissing him on the couch. The kiss gets more passionate. Then they pull away and SANDRA takes him by the hand and they run up the stairs. We PAN over to MARK and VICKY. VICKY hands the game to MARK.

VICKY: Your turn. Three more goals or you’re going to lose.

JEFF lies on the bed in the bedroom, playing the harmonica. SANDRA crawls on top of him and pulls his shirt up with her teeth and kisses his stomach. She then kisses him on the lips. SANDRA takes off JEFF’s hat and JEFF takes off his shirt. They KISS again, this time passionate. SANDRA stands up and pulls her shirt off offscreen and throws it on JEFF’s FACE. JEFF laughs.

CUT TO: INT. MAIN LODGE: DEN/NIGHT

VICKY walks inside the GIRLS CABIN and tries the light. It doesn’t turn on.

VICKY: Oh, D****t.

She tries the lamp and it does not work. She sighs, but then notices the lamp is unplugged.

VICKY: Terri, you turkey.

She plugs the lamp up and turns it on. It illuminates the room. She then goes over to her closet and pulls off her shirt, revealing a brown bra. She tosses the sweater aside and grabs another

VICKY pulls her pants and panties down and slides on the brown panties. SOMEONE watches through the screen door from a distance behind a bush. INSIDE, she sprays perfume on her wrists and smells it. She sprays some on her pinky and then rubs it under her ears and on her neck. She sprays some down her shirt and then closes the cap, but hesitates. She pulls the cap off and squirts a spray down her panties. She grins. BANG! There is a noise outside. VICKY whirls around to the door, startled. SOMEONE watches as VICKY pushes the creaky storm door and looks around. A loose shutter thuds against the side of the cabin, blown off by the strong, whipping wind. VICKY steps cautiously outside and creeps over to the adjacent window and closes the shutter. She then walks back inside the cabin.

CUT TO: INT. GIRLS CABIN/NIGHT

VICKY looks in her closet and then starts opening drawers, looking for something. VICKY then stands up not finding it confused, then she strolls towards the door. She flicks the light off and exits the cabin, leaving the door to BANG! The CAMERA slowly PANS over to the window as LIGHTNING flashes. We see VICKY walking towards her yellow car. She opens the door and starts digging around for something.

CUT TO: EXT. CAR/NIGHT

VICKY leans inside the car looking for something. We see her from the back as she looks in the car. We move towards her slowly as OMINOUS music plays. She finds what she was looking for in the glove box. It was a hairbrush.

VICKY: There you are

VICKY climbs out of the car and closes the door. THUNDER BOOMS as VICKY puts her hand up to feel for raindrops.

CUT TO: MAIN LODGE/NIGHT

MARK rolls into the LIVING ROOM.

MARK: VICKY? He rolls towards the door.

MARK: Vicky, is that you?

MARK rolls out onto the front porch, the THUNDER getting louder. He moves across the porch, as the door closes behind him. He looks around.

SHOT OF MARK SITTING FROM BEHIND AS A POV MOVES TOWARDS HIM

MARK: VICKY?

MARK looks around as THUNDER booms and RAIN falls. The POV moves closer…closer. Ki. Ki. Ki. Ma. Ma. Ma.

WHAM!!! A MACHETE SMASHES INTO HIS FACE! MARK groans and his wheelchair rolls backwards and bumps down the porch steps. The wheelchair with MARK in it, the MACHETE buried into a diagonal slice across his face, rolls through the mud, crashing down the steps to the lake as we BLEED TO WHITE.

CUT TO: MAIN LODGE: BEDROOM/NIGHT

SANDRA is on top of JEFF. They moan. SANDRA kisses JEFF’s neck and then moves up to his lips. JEFF rolls over on top of SANDRA as they lip lock.

The FRONT DOOR swings open and a pair of BOOTs step in. The PERSON walks towards the STEPS and grabs TED’s spear, dropping the mask on the steps. The spear is long, with a sharp, triangular blade. The KILLER makes his way up the steps.

CUT TO: MAIN LODGE: BEDROOM/NIGHT

JEFF and SANDRA kiss passionate, naked, making love. JEFF lies on top of SANDRA. They moan as JEFF lies on top of her and they relax. BEHIND them, the door creaks open. The KILLER walks over to the bed as SANDRA opens her eyes. Her eyes grow big and her mouth drops as she tries to scream, but it’s too late. TWO HANDS raise the SPEAR into the air, and the spear is plunged into the couple. The SPEAR rips through JEFF, then into SANDRA, then through the BED! A double impalement.

SHOT OF THE BOTTOM OF BED: The SPEAR rips through the underside of the mattress, hitting the floor. BLOOD leaks through.

CUT TO: BAR/NIGHT

The bar. Lightning flashes outside, shining the bluish light on the bar. Inside, people are lined up and down on the counter, drinking as MUSIC blasts. GINNY and PAUL are getting ready to leave.

PAUL: I got to get some sleep.

GINNY: I’m tired.

TED: Guys quitting already?

PAUL lays some bills on the counter.

PAUL: TED, you could keep me after breakfast if I let you.

GINNY: I’m going to get a ride home with you, ok?

The door opens and GINNY and PAUL walk out onto the porch.

They BOLT off the porch, GINNY holding her jacket above her head, as the rain pelts them.

PAUL: Move it!

GINNY: I’m going, I’m going.

They reach the car and GINNY slides into the passenger seat. PAUL gets into the driver’s seat.

TED hops off the barstool and walks over to a elderly man and woman sitting a few seats from him.

TED: Excuse me, are there any afterhour’s places around here?

MAN: Sure are.

TED moves his way through the crowd.

CUT TO: MAIN LODGE/NIGHT

VICKY walks into the MAIN LODGE, holding an umbrella. She sighs. The door bangs shut and VICKY places the umbrella beside the door. She looks around and moves into the silent house.

VICKY: Mark?

She walks through the DEN and into the living room.

VICKY: Mark?

She looks around, wondering where he is.

VICKY: Mark, where are you?

VICKY walks up the stairs, confused.

She steps into the room and a LUMP is lying underneath the covers. It’s something…or someone. VICKY slowly makes her way towards the bed. SANDRA lays face-down, hair fanned out over her pillow. covered by sheets, beside the mysterious form under the covers.

VICKY: Sandra? Sandra

She reaches the side of the bed and the KILLER shoots up from under the sheets! The killer is wearing a potato sack over his head, with eyeholes cut out and overalls over a flannel shirt. Could it be Jason, back from the dead? VICKY screams bloody murder, an ear-shattering scream as blue lightning flashes on her petrified face. JASON shoots his hand out. His hand clutches a sharp-as-hell butcher knife. The blade slashes through VICKY’s right thigh. The jeans rip, letting the knife cut into her flesh. Blood pours out as VICKY backs up, whimpering and bumps into JEFF, hanging from the ceiling by the bed sheets, blood dribbling down his chin. VICKY cries out and sinks to the ground behind the door. JASON advances, wielding the knife. He raises it into the air, holding it high above the helpless, horrified VICKY.

VICKY: No, no, NO! NO!

VICKY shields her face with her arm, pleading and whimpering.

The Volkswagen bumps down the dirt path and pulls up in front of the LODGE.

PAUL walks through the LIVING ROOM and into the DEN. GINNY follows, looking around.

GINNY thumps up the steps. She picks up TED’s warrior mask and walks up the rest of the steps.

We PAN around the DEN to PAUL. He checks a cigarette left on the table.

PAUL: These kids smoke better dope than I do.

GINNY’s scream echoes through the CABIN.

GINNY: PAUL!

PAUL runs up the stairs.

CUT TO: INT. BEDROOM/NIGHT

GINNY stares down in horror. PAUL runs in)

PAUL: Yeah, Ginny. Wha-

He stops in his tracks when he sees what GINNY sees. BLOOD splattered all over the bed.

THUNDER shakes the CABIN and they turn around, startled.PAUL grabs a flashlight and turns it on.

They walk out of the bedroom, GINNY not taking her eyes off the bloody bed.

GINNY: Wait for me.

CUT TO: MAIN LODGE/NIGHT

GINNY and PAUL descend the stairs. PAUL shines the flashlight towards the cracked kitchen door. It is dark and the only light is the yellow beam from the flashlight and the silvery light of the full moon.

PAUL: The kitchen light is still on. Must be the main fuse again.

GINNY: Paul, what’s going on here?

PAUL: Nothing.

They make their way to the bottom of the stairs, looking around the dark interior of the quiet cabin. It is silent, too silent. PAUL walks into the living room, shining the flashlight. GINNY peers out of the den window.

GINNY: Where is everybody?

PAUL: I don’t know. The rain’s stopping; we’ll go look for them.

Outside the window, the rain is dying down, dripping off the eaves, splashing in puddles. PAUL sets his flashlight down. GINNY moves away from the window and then slowly walks into the LIVING ROOM with PAUL, looking around. She has no idea what has happened. PAUL starts looking for something in a corner. We see from GINNY’S POV as we pan around the room, scanning it. GINNY starts getting her sixth sense, getting nervous. She moves cautiously through the LIVING ROOM.

GINNY: Paul, there’s someone in this room.

Then, someone stands up on the opposite side of the room. Yes. A silhouette, perfect shape against the moonlight. It’s JASON and he is wielding a PITCHFORK! JASON moves for PAUL, zooming in on his kill as PAUL is turned around, not noticing. GINNY sees it and her eyes grow big.

GINNY: Paul, there’s someone in this f*****g room!

JASON charges with the pitchfork, PAUL dodges and the pitchfork sinks into the wall. JASON leaves it and slams into PAUL. They stumble to and fro, throttling each other. They hit a chair, sending it sprawling. They fight standing up, staggering as PAUL struggles to get the upper hand. GINNY stands nearby in shock, trying to get a good view. Terrified, she looks on as JASON and PAUL fight.

GINNY: Oh my God, oh my God. PAUL! PAUL

The wrestling two hit the ground, JASON on top as JASON pins PAUL down. They writhe and squirm on the ground. They knock over another chair as they wrestle. GINNY can’t believe this is happening. JASON. He didn’t die!

GINNY: Paul.

Suddenly there is silence. GINNY can’t see anything because it’s dark. She looks around. It’s all quiet. GINNY slowly moves closer.

GINNY: Paul. Paul! Answer me!

Just then, JASON POPS UP OUT OF THE DARKNESS, STARING AT HER WITH THE SACK MASK, holding the pitchfork! GINNY screams with terror and runs into the…FIRST FLOOR BATHROOM.

She holds the door closed with all her strength. She holds it closed with both her hands, standing in the bathroom. No way out…Except the window. GINNY looks at it and slowly edges towards the window, not wanting to let go of the door. She does and moves for the window, when JASON APPEARS OUTSIDE, sending his arm through the window, shattering the GLASS! His

hand grabs at GINNY as she screams and BOLTS from the bathroom. GINNY FLIES THROUGH THE CABIN and WE FLY WITH HER. She races into the kitchen and slams the door. She sinks to the ground, looking up at the door in fear. She flies up and locks the door. GINNY surveys the small kitchen. A pantry. A window above the sink. A knife rack. She grabs a butcher knife from the wall rack and hops on top of the sink, pulling the window open. Then, the DOORKNOB starts to JIGGLE. It shakes and rattles as JASON struggles to get in. GINNY slowly and tediously walks towards the kitchen door. It’s like JASON is taking his time, slowly turning the doorknob, inspecting it. He teases GINNY. GINNY stands beside the door, clutching the knife. She is trembling and afraid as the DOOR SHAKES. She tightens the grip on the sharp blade. Then, the middle of the door EXPLODES as the PITCHFORK crashes through the door. GINNY screams and drops the knife. She pulls open the pantry door and CRAZY RALPH falls out, eyes staring into space, dead, a second bloody mouth spread across his throat. GINNY screams louder than ever, terror erupting from her throat. Stuff it. She leaps for the window, sliding stacks of dishes off the counter, pulling the window open and knocking out the screen. GINNY drags herself roughly out the window and drops a few feet, hitting the ground. GINNY gets to her feet and makes a mad dash for her CAR sitting there in front of the LODGE. She runs as fast as she can, destined to get out of there. She reaches the CAR, flings the door open and slams the door shut. GINNY settles into the driver’s seat and locks the door. She reaches across and locks the passenger side door. She digs in her pocket for the keys. She whispers silently, praying they are there.

GINNY: God Please, the keys. The keys, the keys

YES! She pulls the keys from her pocket and sticks them in the ignition and twists them. The car starts up, and then dies. The perfect time to not work.

GINNY: Come on, come on, come on!

She tries again. The car tries and tries, coughing and rumbling but fails.

It’s no use. She slams her head back against the seat, cursing silently. Then JASON pops up in front of the DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW outside the car and starts pulling on the locked door. GINNY shrieks and watches in terror as JASON ducks down and disappears. GINNY looks around. Crunch. Crunch. The leaves crunch. No sign of JASON. Where’d he go? GINNY’S eyes dart left to right. Not believing he is truly gone, she doesn’t dare exit the car. It is all silent. Then the CAR starts to SHAKE and the roof dents and bangs, like someone is climbing onto the roof of the car. THEN…The PITCHFORK RIPS THROUGH THE TOP OF THE CAR, bringing pieces down with it. The pitchfork rips through again and again as GINNYs screams.

GINNY: Oh my God!

To GINNY’S fear, JASON sticks his hand inside the hole he made in the roof, and reaches for GINNY. GINNY lashes out with her foot and connects, kicking the car door open to JASON’s SURPRISE. The CAR DOOR nails him in the midsection and he STUMBLES backwards into a ditch, legs flailing in the air as he REGAINS HIS BALANCE. GINNY crawls out of the passenger door and flees from the CAR, tripping but she gets up and races around the CAR. GINNY runs as fast as she can across the CAMPGROUNDS, ducking behind some trees. She waits, listening for JASON. Suddenly, GINNY hears footsteps and they get LOUDER until JASON runs past. GINNY shoots out and kicks JASON in his groin! JASON lets out a loud growl and holds his crotch. GINNY runs off in the opposite direction. JASON stumbles backwards.

CUT TO: CABIN/NIGHT

We PAN down the side of a CABIN. Tense music plays as GINNY runs into CAMERA, racing around the CABIN. She turns around to look if JASON is following her and then takes off, bolting for the COUNSELORS CABINS. She runs for VICKY’s yellow car. She tries the passenger door. It’s locked. GINNY runs around to the driver’

side door and pulls it. LOCKED. GINNY looks up and sees JASON coming and swiftly ducks down. She crawls around to the front of the car, crouching down as far as she can go. JASON runs past but STOPS and looks towards the CAR. GINNY tries to be as still as she can. JASON stands there, surveying the car. He doesn’t see GINNY and races off into the darkness. GINNY slowly cranes her neck and the minute she sees JASON is gone, she gets to her feet and races away into the woods.

CUT TO: WOODS/NIGHT

GINNY hurries down a trail as the tense, sharp music plays. She runs into CAMERA as JASON leaps from the woods and lunges at GINNY. He barely MISSES as GINNY runs off. JASON hits the ground. Easily unaffected, he stands up, shakes himself off and takes off after his prey. He runs past a tree, where GINNY is hiding. She watches him go, and then emerges from behind the tree and runs off into the thick woods.

where GINNY is hiding. He walks across the CABIN and looks into a ROOM. Nothing. He walks slowly, boots thudding on the sagging floor. Stealthy and rhythmic beats. He walks past a BED. GINNY is hiding under the BED, watching in SHEER HORROR as JASON walks by, his boots inches from her shocked face. Her eyes follow his feet and she cringes under the bed. She is quieter than she has ever been, not moving a muscle. He walks away from the BED. He still holds the PITCHFORK. GINNY looks up and sees a RAT scurrying along the baseboard. He scampers across the floor, his nose twitching as he sniffs. He starts moving her way. The RAT is right at her face, sniffing her, whiskers brushing her skin. She whimpers. The RAT crawls away and GINNY tries to hold it in, but she can’t. She pees. Urine trickles out from under the bed, running into a yellow puddle on the floor. JASON turns towards the BED and sees the urine. GINNY lies there, hoping he didn’t notice. Then GINNY hears the DOOR open and then close.Is he gone? Is it over? GINNY listens to the unbearable silence and soon starts to slowly crawl out from under the bed, alert. Her eyes scan the room. Empty. All of a sudden, GINNY looks up and JASON is standing on top of a chair, raising the pitchfork high above GINNY’S HEAD! GINNY lets out a scream when the chair leg SNAPS and the chair crumbles, taking JASON with it. JASON hits the ground, the pitchfork blades impaling the floorboard, as the wooden handle BREAKS in half. GINNY pulls herself to her feet, hoisting herself up with a bedside table, spilling the contents on the table onto the floor. GINNY runs into the storage closet and starts trying to salvage a weapon. JASON stands up and walks into the closet. GINNY grabs the CHAINSAW and pulls the string, revving it up. Vroom! Vroom! GINNY lunges at JASON with the CHAINSAW. JASON backs away, holding up his arm. And GINNY has the perfect opportunity. She swipes with the saw, the spinning blade tears into JASON’S ARM. BLOOD splatters on GINNY’S SHIRT and SPARKS FLY as the CHAINSAW DIES. JASON topples over a footstool and hits the ground. He starts to get up, but the enraged GINNY snatches up a nearby chair and brings it down, smashing it over JASON’S BACK. The killer hits the ground, unconscious or dead. Hopefully dead. GINNY wipes blood off her shirt and walks out of the closet.

GINNY opens the door and steps out into the night, shutting the door behind her. She stands on the porch looking around and then runs to the right, disappearing into the woods.

CUT TO: WOODS/NIGHT

GINNY RUNS THROUGH THE DARK WOODS. She tears a path through the branches and brush. The WOODS get thicker and rougher. She pushes branches aside. GINNY reaches a small POND. It looks familiar. She crashes through the brush and stumbles onto the side of the pond. She sits down in the mud, catching her breath. She is tired and bloody. Ready to give up. She looks behind her into the dense woods. JASON is not following her. She sighs. Her shirt is tattered and caked with mud, sleeves hanging limply. She struggles to her feet and sloshes through the muddy water. GINNY is off into the woods.

GINNY hurries down a trail and comes to a clearing. GINNY stops short in front of something. It’s a DILAPADATED SHACK. JASON’S SHACK! A lantern is lit inside. The SHACK is crudely and poorly built, ramshackle tin sheets and cardboard make it up.

GINNY: Oh my god, please help me!

GINNY races towards the shack and throws open the door, barging into the dark, damp interior. She steps farther in. In the BG, through a window, we see JASON running towards the SHACK! GINNY looks out the window and sees him. She shrieks and dashes into an adjacent room. She slams the rickety door and grabs a long, wide log, sliding it into the latch. GINNY holds her weight against the door and JASON slams into it, GINNY screams and backs up. JASON pounds on the door. GINNY backs away from the door, biting her nails. She turns around and cries out in surprise. The ROOM is a shrine. A table sits in the center, with MRS. VOORHEES’ decapitated head, her sweater and a machete on it. CANDLES surround the head and DEAD BODIES are scattered all around the room, including the OFFICER and TERRI!

JASON, on the other side of the door, snatches up a PICK-AXE and slices it through the door. GINNY looks in terror as JASON chops the door to pieces. GINNY glances over to the table. A plan forms in her head. CHOP! CHOP! CHOP! The door splinters and cracks as the PICKAXE is thrust through the rotting wood. GINNY looks at the table. The shrewd head, the green sweater. GINNY’s hair is disheveled and caked with mud, along with her shirt. She looks towards the door and then towards the table, edging towards the table. Closer, closer, closer. She has an idea. Pretend to be his mother. Trick him. Reluctantly, she slides on the musty shirt. She whimpers in horror as she turns to the door, JASON hacks it apart.

Pieces of shattered wood flies to the floor as the PICK-AXE smashes through the door again.

Tattered and stuffy, she pulls it over her and places it on, smoothing the green sweater. She kneels down and looks at the decapitated head, pulling her head back, trying to look as much as MRS. VOORHEES as possible, pulling her hair and tucking it into the raggedy shirt.

JASON reaches through the hole in the door and moves the log, tossing it to the floor. He throws the door open with a BANG, PICK-AXE in hands. GINNY picks up the MACHETE and hides it behind her back. She whips around as JASON advances closer.

GINNY: JASON! It’s all done JASON! JASON stops in his tracks, cocks his head, confused.

GINNY: You’ve done your job well and Mommy is pleased.

JASON starts to slowly lower the PICK-AXE.

GINNY: That’s my boy, Come to Mommy

We see JASON’S POV and GINNY’S FACE IS DISTORTED INTO PAMELA VOORHEES’S FACE. It’s working.

GINNY: Come on.

We SEE from JASON’S POINT OF VIEW as his MOTHERS FACE appears.

MRS. VOORHEES: (Jason’s Vision) Mommy has a reward for you.

JASON stands there, tilting his head, watching GINNY fooling him. He steps closer.

The MRS. VOORHEES FACE disappears back to GINNY. GINNY, shakily watches as JASON approaches, wielding the tool, ready to strike GINNY! NO!

GINNY: JASON! Mother is talking to you!

JASON abruptly stops and looks at GINNY. Cocks his head.

We DISTORT back to MRS. VOORHEES in his vision.

MRS. VOORHEES: (Vision) Jason, Mother is talking to you.

JASON lowers the tool, dazed at his dead mother.

MRS. VOORHEES smiles.

MRS. VOORHEES: (Vision) Come on. That’s my boy, come. Kneel down. That’s a good boy.

JASON walks up to GINNY, thinking GINNY is his mother.

JASON obeys “Mother”, kneeling down to GINNY.

JASON looks up at GINNY, eye showing through the hole in the sack mask.

We DISTORT back to GINNY as GINNY raises the MACHETE slowly in the air, ready to bring the MACHETE down into JASON, ready to end the terror.

JASON cocks his head, watching as his “mother” raises the MACHETE. GINNY gets into a striking poise, higher and higher. As GINNY pulls the machete into the air ready to strike, GINNY steps to the side, JASON notices his mother’s decapitated head. SHE’S NOT HIS MOTHER! He figured it out. He glares at GINNY through the sack hole, GINNY starts to bring the MACHETE down! JASON slashes with the PICK-AXE and knocks the MACHETE from GINNY’S HAND! The MACHETE flies across the shrine and lands near TERRI’S lifeless corpse. JASON slams the PICK-AXE into GINNY’S LEG! BLOOD gushes from the gash, the PICK-AXE tearing her jeans and ripping her flesh. She screams and clutches her leg. Suddenly, PAUL leaps into the room! He’s ALIVE!

PAUL: GINNY!

PAUL leaps onto JASON’S BACK, wrenching the PICK-AXE from JASON’S HAND. JASON struggles as PAUL throttles JASON, squirming, writhing while standing, PAUL on JASON’S BACK! GINNY is struggling to stand, hobbling across the room, edging against the wall away from the fight.

JASON elbows PAUL sending them both into the wall. BOARDS and DUST fall down from the ceiling with a CRASH! The wall gives way, sending planks down. JASON turns around, slamming PAUL into the wall, pinning him against the ramshackle wall, struggling

and playing almost a sick game of Mercy. GINNY is terrified, limping badly across the room, using the wall to prop herself up.

PAUL and JASON struggle and squirm and another BOARD flies down, hitting the fighters. They begin to move across the room, fighting, punching. JASON pushes PAUL to the ground, climbing on top of him. JASON has the upper hand, strangling the life out of PAUL. PAUL chokes and groans, getting weaker and weaker. GINNY has to do something!

GINNY eyes it. The discarded MACHETE. GINNY hurriedly picks up the weapon. GINNY limps over to the fighting killer and owner of the camp. Then to GINNY and PAUL’s HORROR, JASON raises the PICK-AXE into the air, ready to bring it onto his next victim. GINNY moves quicker, raising the MACHETE into the air. She gets behind JASON, raising the MACHETE into the air. In slow motion, GINNY, furious and accelerated with rage, furiously smashes the MACHETE into JASON’s shoulder. The MACHETE buries into his shoulder and cuts down into his chest! GINNY, astonished, watches in fear as JASON places a hand to his bleeding wound and the blade protruding from his chest. He slowly falls over sideways with a THUMP! GINNY gawks at JASON, unmoving on the floor. PAUL rises to his feet, staring at JASON.

PAUL: Come on, let’s go.

He grabs GINNY by the arm, but she jerks away, refusing to go. She reaches down and her fingers grab his mask and slides it off. We do not see it, but GINNY and PAUL look down at his hideous face, disgusted.

PAUL: Jesus.

PAUL and GINNY turn away from JASON, still on the floor, machete buried into his chest and walk out of the room, PAUL helping GINNY, GINNY draping her arm over his shoulder. They exit.

It is dark and the lantern is still lit. The shack seems empty now. The horror has ended. GINNY and PAUL stumble through the door into the humid night. GINNY limps and staggers, PAUL pulls GINNY’S arm over his shoulder and they walk off together. PAUL takes one look at the SHACK and then walks off with GINNY. They survived.

CUT TO: WOODS/NIGHT

GINNY and PAUL push on through the jungle, moonlight casting shadows on them. They are tired and limping, GINNY leaning on PAUL, arm around PAUL’S shoulder. They come to the pond and GINNY slips in the mud and falls.

GINNY: Waaaah!

GINNY slams into the mud. PAUL leans down to her and lifts her into his arms, cradling her.

PAUL: I’ll carry you.

PAUL, carrying GINNY in his arms, trudges through the murky water, splashing through the pond and walks off into the woods. The woods are quiet and empty. The pond glistens in the moonlight as it shines overhead the trees.

CUT TO: EXT. CABIN/NIGHT

The CABIN with the chainsaw sits at the camp, distilled and lit inside. PAUL and GINNY come around the CABIN out of the woods, PAUL carrying GINNY, and walks in front of the CABIN. PAUL looks behind him. GINNY cries and whines softly, burying her head in PAUL’S shoulder. PAUL walks onto the wooden porch and pulls the screen door open and creaks the door open and steps inside the CABIN, closing the door with his foot.

PAUL with GINNY in his arms leans against the door, sighing. PAUL totes GINNY, her arms locked around his neck, over to the bed and gently sets her down. She grimaces in pain from her bleeding leg. PAUL brushes hair away from her eyes and holds her head, looking at her.

PAUL: Hey, hey. You’re alright, you’re alright.

PAUL kisses GINNY on the forehead and then examines her leg, her jeans ripped all the way down and dried blood clinging to the long slice across her calf. He touches it and GINNY cries out, holding her breath. PAUL hugs her tight and GINNY cries, burying her head in his shoulder, hugging him so tight, glad to be in his arms after a horrific chase.

PAUL: It’s ok, GINNY.

Suddenly, there is a THUD, a loud THUD, at the door. PAUL and GINNY look towards the door. There is silence. Oh no. Please no. They stare in speechless horror. GINNY looks at PAUL in fear and gives him a “go check it out” look. PAUL slowly, ever so slowly, slides off the bed. PAUL reaches down and grabs a broken half of the pitchfork. He hands GINNY the stabbing part, the one with the sharp prongs. PAUL takes the handle, wielding it like a weapon. GINNY points the pitchfork at the door, sitting on the bed. PAUL moves for the door, clutching the handle, ready to strike. GINNY aims the sharp points at the door as PAUL looks back. He tediously walks towards the door. The tension builds. What is out there? Is it JASON! PAUL reaches the PAUL and stands beside the door, leaning against the door. He sticks a trembling hand, slowly, towards the door. He looks at GINNY, giving her a “be ready” look. GINNY nods and PAUL PULLS THE DOOR OPEN TO REVEAL!......

MUFFIN! Tougue hanging out. Looking fine and cute. The mauled dog in the woods was a different dog! It’s MUFFIN, TERRI’S DOG! Muffin looks up at PAUL, tail wagging. PEACEFUL MUSIC plays as MUFFIN perks up her ears.

GINNY is relieved, almost to tears. She smiles.

GINNY: Oh Muffin!

MUFFIN looks around, oblivious to the terror.

GINNY: Muffin!

PAUL sets the handle down and lugs MUFFIN into his arms, cuddling her. He looks at GINNY, smiling. GINNY stands up off the bed.

GINNY: Muffin.

PAUL sets MUFFIN down and MUFFIN runs over to GINNY, happy as can be. GINNY claps her hands together, calling the dog. GINNY cries tears of joy.

GINNY: Come here, MUFFIN.

SUDDENLY, THE WINDOW BEHIND GINNY IMPLODES AND JASON SMASHES THROUGH THE WINDOW BEHIND GINNY! HIS MASK IS GONE, HIS FACE HIDEOUSLY DEFORMED.

Unsightly scraggly beard, yellow crooked teeth. GINNY screams, terror erupting from below, pure horror. SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER.

THE MACHETE IS STILL EMBEDDED IN HIS SHOULDER. HE GROWLS AND AN UTTERLY NOISE FROM JASON’S THROAT FILLS THE SILENCE. JASON GRABS GINNY, THIS IS ALL IN SLOW MO AS JASON LEANS THROUGH THE WINDOW. GINNY SCREAMS AND CRINGES, HORRIFIED, as Jason’s gnarled, bloody hands grab her shirt, pulling her towards him. HE DRAGS HER OUT THE WINDOW AND THEY ARE GONE. The screen BLEEDS TO WHITE.

CUT TO: CAMP/MORNING.

GINNY is loaded onto a stretcher. The sunlight falls down. Paramedics and officers walk around the scene. She looks around, dazed. PAUL is nowhere to be seen.

Two white-suited paramedics and a tall, elderly police officer with a fedora load GINNY into the ambulance. The paramedics hop into the back of the ambulance with GINNY and they slam the doors. The ambulance drives down the road out of the camp, the red lights blinking. It disappears around the curve. Where’s Paul...

FADE IN: JASON’S SHACK/DAYTIME

The shrine room. The roof has partially caved in, but it’s empty. Devoid of inhabitants. Boards hang down around the old room. MRS. VOORHEES’S HEAD sits on the table. The CAMERA zooms in on the wrinkled head. It almost smiles….
