1. Technology: Utilize technology effectively and ethically that contributes to the effective completion of tasks

I have Worked with a few examples of new technologies and systems related to my major, and have demonstrated capability in handling new sorts of communication through advanced systems

I have an awareness of the importance of technology (both simple & advanced) in work place, as well as an educational environment.

I have used several technologies for both Communication, and research purposes. I have an ongoing interest in developing/upcoming technologies in the Logistics industry related to

my major. I am able to use work related technology efficiently and effectively to complete my allocated tasks I use technology whenever needed, but not to the extent that makes me dependent on it, I could

sometimes rely on myself when necessary technology is not available. I have developed awareness of new technology available in the market place that could assist me in

doing my job more effectivelyStruggling Developing Good Very Good X Best Practice

Please indicate with an 'x’ in the appropriate box above.

Justification:

Work Placement:1. Gulf Hotel - I have used a number of work essential technologies (both simple & advanced)

during my work placement in Gulf Hotel. Working in several departments such as Purchasing, Receiving, Cost Control Dep., Food Store, Liquor store, and Bulk store; I have worked with a much interconnected computer system called MICROS-Fidelio Materials Control. This computer system was a vital aspect in the whole purchasing process, because it connects and integrates all the departments to the Purchasing department, and without it the whole purchasing department won’t function, as well as all the other departments. And the Hotel itself couldn’t function either, as the hotel’s main objective is serving the guests and satisfying their needs with the right quality and the right time.

- Being part of the Purchasing process; I learned how to:o Receive purchase requests, and check the price and quantity orderedo Purchase orders by the computer system, whilst inputting the price and quantityo Print Purchase orderso File Documents into the systemo Send Purchase Orders or Quotations via Faxo Purchase orders, or Quotations overseas via e-mailo Using phone calls and messaging for purchase orders or discussions with suppliers

Polytechnic Assignments:2. Passenger transport Mapping website – During the time of my final assignment in the course

“Passenger Transport” I was in charge of a several parts of the group assignment, and part of my responsibilities was to create a map of the public transport system we were creating for the Bahraini public. It was an interconnected system that comprises of different modes of transport, as well as transit stations and stops. Therefore I first started using very simple and amateur methods such as; Paint Microsoft Word. And the results just came out as clumsy scraps of the Bahrain map. So I searched for another method, and I stumbled upon a the best map route website, it was Scribblemaps.com; a website which uses Google maps, and provides tools to create a very clear map route, in the easiest way possible. The website offered tools such as; Pins, flexible & colored lanes, Transport modes Logos and symbols for identification. One major benefit as that the program provides the Km distance of every route, which was vital for my calculations of Avg. time traveled between terminals.

3. Research Methodologies online course – I have completed my “Research Methodologies” Online course two semesters ago, and to be honest, I found it rather hectic than others have described it to me beforehand. And the reason was because having 20 students asking the same or different questions at the same time was very confusing, as I couldn’t always understand which question the tutor was addressing in the discussions. And the online course is very impersonal, as you could not get the same interaction or private conversations with the tutor; except by email. However I still managed to learn a lot through this course, such as; how to open discussion with groups online, and I also learned how to operate an interfacing program; which could benefit me in the future for work purposes (overseas meetings, conference calls)

4. Industry Project:During my industry project, I have used many methods of technology to help me communicate with my classmates or supervisors, as well as technologies that help with my research and assignment, some of which are;

a) I have used Whatsapp texting app for group discussions with other classmates.b) Emails with Tutors, academic supervisors, and Program Managers regarding my work and

progress.c) Software such as Capture It, Snipping tool; were used to capture images of my work for

evidence, as well as saving photos or diagrams for research findingsd) iPad – I used my iPad in many ways during my industry project and time in polytechnic, as it

provided mobility with the exact efficiency of a laptop in different parts of my assignment;o To show my progress and work to my tutors or classmateso Being able to continue my research or answer emails anywhere I go; by using my 3G

serviceo Taking photographs of evidence, and snapshots of my research

5. Using Microsoft Software for several tasks, such as; Creating Tables and using formulas on excel, PowerPoint Slides, Diagrams and charts using Microsoft Word document. Sure these are all basic skills, but I managed to take advantage of these programs on countless occasions during my time at polytechnic. Even though Microsoft programs are not that complex to use, and almost everyone knows how to use them, yet it is still essential for my employability skills,

Page | 2

TLB7501 Industry Based ProjectEmployability Skills Abdulla Ali 20900550

as I have been able to demonstrate creativity whilst using these programs.

6. Interest in Technology:I have been always interested in upcoming technologies in the Logistics industry, most recently I have researched about the new ADS-B system introduced by the FAA to be used by airlines in the U.S and possibly worldwide in the coming years, this new technology is more efficient and it will replace the current radar surveillance system it operates via satellite signals rather than radio frequency system. I have mentioned this new system in several Polytechnic assignments in courses; such as “Transport communications” & “Air Cargo Transport”.

2. Initiative and Enterprise: Apply resourcefulness, innovation and strategic thinking in an organisational context I have shown personal initiative in contributing to my work and tasks in both Work

placement and my industry based project, as well as other college assignments. I am able to ask critical questions at times, whenever facing uncertainties; to open

important discussions that would eventually benefit my understanding. I am capable of analyzing my work place and the whole process in my department, and

identify weaknesses, as well as root problems, by using strategies I have learnt at the Polytechnic

I am able to come up with several solutions and recommendations for problems faced on spot, in both academic or work levels

My Supervisor and my colleagues have showed agreement with several ideas I have proposed in work and University projects

Justification:Work Placement:

During my 1 month work placement at Gulf Hotel, I gave personal effort and showed initiative in getting involved in the work, I personally asked my supervisor to give me some jobs and some serious tasks to carry out, even though the work placement does not require me to do so. After a few days in the workplace even asked my supervisor if he would let me call the suppliers to order the requested items. I would like to think that even though I wasn’t entitled to much tasks as a trainee, but I think that I did provide ideas and critical thinking whenever I was involved in a work related discussion. And I did provide some help with English suppliers; my English language is good on average. I gave good opinions on several small occasions, for example; I gave some insights on some products comparing them with different suppliers, by using my own experience with the product’s quality. I believe this showed initiative and the good effort.

Industry:1. On the 9th of Oct, I have written an email (on behalf of Nasser as well) that addresses the main

concerns or points the group needs to discuss in class, or on the phone. I sent this after midnight for my class mates to receive the following day. The main discussions in the email were about the process of asking the program managers questions only on the weekly meetings, unless it is a personal issue. And the other point was regarding a 3 day findings submission we proposed to the rest of the group.

2. My Class mate Nasser and I have discussed on how to gather information from the group in the most efficient way possible, and we decided to set a deadline for them, which we agreed should be on the 19th of Oct, which we then changed to the 21st of Oct following some delays caused by Eid Holiday (Proposed in meeting with the group, via text messages, and email.

3. Nasser and I have decided to give the other group members (Study group) a limited number of jobs for them to find in their decided sector. And we agreed on a range of 32-40 jobs each, the aim of this was to get the group members to start working on their project. An email was sent by Nasser to inform the rest about this idea.

4. Several group members were confused about the meeting minutes and employability skills assignment, therefore I explained employability skills task, and the difference between it and the meeting minutes and how the meeting minutes will be useful.

5. Whilst we were sharing ideas in class, I explained to a few class mates the structure of their project, and what they need to do next. This was done verbally in class meetings

6. During week 9 I had some difficulty following the project guide given to us by the Program managers, as composing a NETS analysis on an Institution is very difficult; if not impossible. So I came up with a different idea that I could use the NETS and SWOT analysis in two different approaches. The first was to use the NETS on analyzing Bahrain’s Maritime networks, and then breaking down the weakness and root problem in the Skills Network. The 2nd method was to use the NETS as a guide for the necessities and requirements for creating a Maritime Institute. I sent those two methods in a Word document, and sent it via email to The program Manager Mr. John, and I discussed it with him in person. And he told me I could do either or both, and I decided to do both.

Study courses:ASRY Visit:

7. During the TLB5001 - Freight and Warehouse Operations course I took under Mr. Jalil, we went on a trip to the Bahraini ship repair yard ASRY, located in Hidd town. During this visit we met some of the company’s managers, and I took this opportunity to ask questions related to our project such as the input and output of warehouses and how the structure is strategically built to function properly with the flow of traffic. And we then visited some of the warehouses, and I took this chance to ask about the importance of the structure and the strategic planning of space for the movement of cranes and forklifts inside the warehouse, I even asked our guide to take us to cooling room; I took responsibility to take notes for my group during this visit.

3. Planning and Organising: Efficiently and effectively plan and manage work commitments I may have lost track of my plan in the first few weeks of the semester, but I still managed to pull

through, thanks to my planning and organizing. I have basic Planning and organizing skills, whereas my academic and work related folders are

separated from one another, and sorted efficiently by date and subject, which gives me a much easier process of retrieving information

I have drawn up to-do lists for myself and have guided fellow team members on what I believe should be done, I even created a whole document that contains all the tasks I need to do in order of importance, it also comprises of a final list of ideas I might include in my project; if I complete the project earlier and have some time left.

I helped organizing and planning with other class mates and shared ways in which they can prepare for their project.

I am always prepared for any unexpected tasks, when needed by my Academic or Work supervisor, I had all the information I need at easy access.

Struggling Developing X Good Very Good Best PracticePlease indicate with an 'x’ in the appropriate box above.

Justification:1. Research Plan and stages from my Project proposal, I have created a research method that

consists of 4 stages in the project proposal and I have followed the method through.2. My personal Timeline, I have created a personal task/ to do list; for me to follow, this task list

also contains extra ideas that I might include in my project if I have extra time to do so3. 2nd Timeline I sent to My supervisor, my supervisor mr. Jalil has requested a timeline from me

which clearly divides my tasks and follows through stages to the deadline submission of my assignment.

4. Email and deadline for classmates - Created a deadline with my classmate Nasser, for the rest of the group to complete their findings by 19th of Oct, which we then changed to the 21st. it proved to be very effective, as it helped give a the classmates a push with very little stress and pressure. we even proposed a 3 day findings submission, whereas group members would submit their research and findings every 3 days, and this would help keep them on track.

5. I set a folder for the project, which contains sub-folders for each part and sector of the project6. I have a Polytechnic folder which contains all my previous assignments and research from my

time at the polytechnic, including my Foundation 2 year. This helped me retrieve any information needed from my past assignment easily, which served me a lot in the recent assignments at the polytechnic, and it even helped me access assignments and work notes related to my work placement.

7. On the 27th of Oct, I searched my notes and work from my previous courses and work placement, in effort of finding proof or evidence for my employability skills task. Fortunately I have always kept all my files in a single folder; divided by date and course name. Proves I have been prepared for this task more than a month in advance.

4. Communication: Communicate effectively in ways that contribute to productive and harmonious relationships across stakeholdersExamples:

I am able to communicate effectively with people from all ages and gender I am able to connect with individuals or groups from different races, cultures and backgrounds. My English language and pronunciation are good on average, therefore being able to communicate

clearly verbally or via email, or texts. I am not a loud person, I tend to always take my time and chose the right timing to speak, and I use a

respectful tone when talking to anyone. I am not very outgoing, but I could connect with other groups or individuals easily. I always address people from Polytechnic or workplace with their preferable title and name. I am always communicating with my Supervisor, Program manager, as well as classmates. I am culturally sensitive and aware of my body language when communicating in the work place I am able to use different methods for communication within the Polytechnic or Workplace. I am able to conduct a very professional email, whether it is addressed to polytechnic tutors or staff,

or whether it is sent to my work supervisor, or job clientsStruggling Developing Good Very Good X Best Practice

Please indicate with an 'x’ in the appropriate box above.

Justification:Work placement –During my work placement at Gulf Hotel, I learned;

- How to address other staff and managers in a professional manner, in their respectful titles.- how to write a professional email to the staff, managers, suppliers or clients- In my time at Gulf Hotel, I have worked with people twice my age, both men and women, and I

was able to communicate effectively with staff from different positions in the organization.- Gulf Hotel has employees and/or suppliers from different nationalities ethnicities and

backgrounds, and I have been able to communicate with many people, and I have never in my life shown any signs of prejudice or discrimination against someone.

- I was able to demonstrate and use both my English and Arabic vocabulary effectively when speaking to other colleagues or managers, verbally and via Email.

- I learned how to establish the right timing to communicate with others, and never cause any interruption to their jobs or tasks.

Polytechnic1. I always contact my program manager and Academic Supervisor, via email or verbally whenever

I’m on campus. The emails between me and my supervisors or tutors; are very essential to my progress in my assignments, as I keep them up to date on my progress, they provide me with the appropriate feedback I need to keep moving forward. Most recently I have been in emailing my program managers Mr. Graham Adams and Mr. John Webb, and my Academic Supervisor Mr. Jalil Ebrahim. I have been asking them questions and sending them updates on my progress of my industry based project, and they always provided me with feedback and encouragement on my work. And at times they would encourage me to put in more effort in my work, and warm me if I seem misguided, this feedback helps keep me on the right track. And I believe my effective communication will serve me well when employed, as it proves I would be connected with my managers on a regular basis, and I am able to appreciate assistance from others in the workplace.

Page | 20

5. Learning: Understand the need for and engage in life-long learning that contributes to ongoing improvement in employee and company operations and outcomesExamples:

I often look to other resources for information to solve work related problems I take criticism and feedback and use it to improve my efforts in the work place I have taken it upon myself to learn and improve my understanding of the working environment Since starting my work placement I have developed new interests and areas that I am learning about Since starting my work placement I have used my prior knowledge gained at the Polytechnic and applied

it to the workplaceStruggling Developing Good Very Good X Best Practice

Please indicate with an 'x’ in the appropriate box above.

Justification:Work Placement:

1. In the beginning of my time at Gulf Hotel, I have studied the whole system and process of Purchasing, and I covered all the notes provided to me by my supervisor. To name a few of these learnings;

- I learned how a PR (Purchase Request) is turned into a PO (Purchase Order); which is sent or faxed to the supplier after the price and quantity has been checked, this could all be done through the computer software; MICROS-Fidelio Materials Control.

- And how to request Quotations from different suppliers in order to compare their prices before making a decision.

- When the order is received; the supplier has to provide a LPO (Local purchase Order) or a Receipt, to and the price and quantity on that receipt has to be checked before accepted.

- Then the Cost Control Dept. which is under the financial department receives the Receipt (or PO). And they are responsible for documentation, and monitoring of the prices on the PO, compared to the quotations.

Also learned; Making orders, by fax and/or Phone calls. Discussing or determining product prices How to handle new suppliers Counting stock in food store & Bulk store to determine quantity and re-order point. Receiving Orders through the Receiving department. Documentation of Purchase Orders (PO or LPO) and Quotations. Observed the process of calculating a Dish’s selling price, by calculating the cost of

ingredients, and the selling profit. The Overseas reports, for ordering overseas items The Market List, and Re-order Store item, which are lists of products submitted to the

Purchasing department on a daily basis; before being slightly edited by the issuing department.

Page | 30

TLB7501 Industry Based ProjectEmployability Skills Abdulla Ali 20900550

Inventory Management - I even related my work to my previous learning’s from the polytechnic studies, specifically the “Inventory management”, whereas the work was related to the R-Ordering Point, ABC analysis for fast moving products and/or perishables.

Accounting - I learned about the fiscal system and Budget distribution between all outlets and departments, and how they all manage to stay under their own budget, and sometimes I would come across some familiar terms like; BEP (Break Even Point).

This whole learning experience will benefit me in the future, as Purchasing is Part of the Supply Chain in all Logistics sectors and companies. And this opportunity gave me a whole new understanding of the Purchasing and re-ordering process. And the fact that this was a Hotel industry does not make it any less valuable; in fact it turned out to be very productive; as Gulf Hotel’s main product is Serving the guests and residents, providing the best quality of service 24/7. Therefore this was a great learning experience that would prove to be useful in the future, if I get the chance to work in Supply Chain Management, or a similar workplace.

Professionalism – I learned how to act professionally in the workplace, and how discipline and work ethics will always be the best and most productive attitude at work. People with discipline and high morale will eventually gain more opportunities in the future, and employees without these attributes will not develop in the long term.Formal attire/appearance is also essential at work, as a formal person tends to be more persuasive, and it demonstrates respect to the workplace.

Polytechnic:

2. During my time in the Polytechnic, I was introduced to a new set of research and analysis strategies that will definitely benefit me in my career. As

NETS – Networks Enabling Transport Services, which is a method that is used to analyze transport systems, by interconnecting 6 Networks of the system; and then breakdown each network in detail, in order to find the strengths or weaknesses of the system. I was first introduced to this method in my “Transport & Communications” course, based on a Book written by author Chris Kissling & Tifflin. The 6 NETS analysis is so flexible; it can be used in every transport & logistics system or organization. I have used the NETS analysis on 3 or more different occasions;I analyzed the Air Transport system in both “Transport & Communications TLB7003” & “International Air Cargo TLB6201” courses. And most recently, my “TLB7501 Industry Based Project” on Maritime Education.NETS, Book Transport Communications, and used in 3 different assignments

SWOT – The SWOT analysis is not new to me, in fact I have used this method countless times. Most recently I have used it in my Industry Based Project, in discussing the idea of opening a Maritime Institution in Bahrain.

KPI – Key performance indicators, which are equations or terms of measurements, used to determine the performance of a transport system. I used KPI’s in two projects, once on Air Cargo transport, and the other is on Passenger transport.

Page | 31

TLB7501 Industry Based ProjectEmployability Skills Abdulla Ali 20900550

3. How to conduct a Public Transport system – After completing the “TLB 6300 Passenger Transport” course; I now have a whole new understanding of the public transport system, I realize how complex building a public transport system is, and I now appreciate and respect this sector of the Transport & Logistics industry. The Final group assignment was to build a whole Passenger transport system in Bahrain. And we all went through a lot of research, and finding information was the toughest part of the project, but me and my group managed to pull through with great findings. And I was responsible for several tasks, mainly focused on the BRT system. And I was able to create the whole Routes and mapping of our system, with estimated calculations such as; total cost, Distance of the routes, average stopping times, different working hours & shifts, number of buses and drivers…etc.

6. Self-management: Demonstrate self discipline, resilience and adaptability to achieve personal and professional goalsExamples:

I am able to finish tasks assigned to me on time, as I take a workplace environment very seriously I finish my tasks at work very professionally, but on an academic level; I need development regarding

time management. I might need assistance and pressure from Supervisors to push my effort. I am still trying to manage this weakness.

I did let some personal issues affect my performance, but I have shown improvement on dealing with that issue, and I have been performing well ever since

I had some issues regarding discipline but I have managed to improve a lot I am able to multitask effectively and efficiently I am adequately prepared in class, and I am well disciplined. I do submit assignments late sometimes, and I still need development on that issue I was Never late or absent from Work I have never been late or absent from a meeting in Polytechnic I do have an average Attendance Record at the Polytechnic, and I have never been WA (Withdrawn).Struggling Developing X Good Very Good Best Practice

1. During my Work Placement I have never been absent or late, in fact I have always showed up 10-15 min earlier than several others in my Workplace. Even during the month of Ramadhan, I took my work very seriously and never missed a day or a single hour.I always come prepared to Work, with the Paperwork required for my work placement with me at all times, and I arrive well prepared in the correct formal clothing/ Attire. My attendance record is not the only achievement I’m proud of, my discipline and effort towards my Work placement assignment was worthy as well. I was able to study the whole Purchasing system in just one week.I believe with my 140 hours of experience at Gulf Hotel, I was able to demonstrate that I am qualified for a working lifestyle, and I am able to act as a professional in the workplace atmosphere.

Polytechnic:2. I have never been Withdrawn (WA) from a course due to lateness, and I have an average Attendance

rate, during my 4 years period in the Polytechnic, even when attendance is not compulsory; I try to attend tutorial classes to discuss any issues or uncertainties regarding my assignment.

3. I have never missed a class during my industry project; except once when I suffered from a car accident, and I asked reported to my program manager at the time of the incident. I had enough discipline to arrive every morning for the check in, and I attended all meetings with my Academic supervisor Mr. Jalil.I send the required meeting minutes to my Academic Supervisor every week, as described in the course guide.

4. At some point during the first half of the semester I faced some problems regarding work discipline, specifically regarding my progress in my project, yet after I received an email from the program managers and supervisor; showing their concern for my performance, I gave more effort in my project and I showed real discipline, hence I was able to turn things around and pull through.

So In Brief; I am very well disciplined, and self-dependent.I am stronger in completing jobs and tasks at practical training, than at my studies. Therefore this is the area I am focused on developing.

Justification:Work Placement

- I worked for more than a month in Gulf Hotel, and I had no problem working with people in all departments such as; Purchasing Cost control, Food & beverages…etc. I have never faced any difficulty interacting with people twice my age, I have worked with people from high and low rates in the organization, which were consisted of several ethnicities, and are of different age and gender. This proves that I am eligible to work in any organization, and that I am able to work as a part of the team, in any department, regardless of the features or titles of colleagues or managers.

Polytechnic1. During my time in the polytechnic I have worked with classmates of many ages and

backgrounds as well, and I always contribute as much as I can in group projects.2. For the Industry project, several class mates and myself decided to create a study group, as this

is an individual project. But by creating this study group through Whatsapp texting application, we were able to share ideas, discuss issues with one another. I always contributed to the group by opening group discussions about our assignment, and I offered help every now and then. And I provided some help and advice a several times when in need.Several group members were confused about the difference between meeting minutes and employability skills assignment; therefore I explained both tasks on the Whatsapp group chat, and the difference between the two. I described how the meeting minutes will be useful for the employability skills for proof later. Explained to a few group members the structure of their project, and what they need to do next. This was done verbally and through text messages.

3. On the 23rd of Oct, I asked for updates from the class mates on their progress with the jobs and job descriptions and we started a group discussion on the Text App whatsapp; the main concern question was about whether they can include jobs that require a long range of working experience, I answered “Yes”, as I have already discussed this with my supervisor Mr. Jalil, and he gave me the same answer.

8. Problem solving: Analyse a problem critically and respond appropriately to organisational and societal needs

When facing a problem in the workplace or Polytechnic, I am able to approach it in a professional method, and analyze its significance and/or difficulty.

I measure all outcomes and consequences of the possible decisions I might make, who or what they influence.

I create an organized methods; such as brainstorming & researching. And I use advanced analysis methods I have learned from my studies to refine my findings, thus evaluating the best possible solution to the problem.

I ask critical questions when needed, and I give priority to the opinion of experts on the subject of matter; over mine.

I am realistic when it comes to the decision making, as I have no problem accepting criticism to my ideas, as some solutions are dependent on the situation of the organization, and its capabilities.

Struggling Developing Good X Very Good Best PracticePlease indicate with an 'x’ in the appropriate box above.

Justification:

Industry Based Project – Some of the best problem solving situations were presented to me during my studies at Bahrain Polytechnic. As it is considered one of the most important attributes of a graduate, and I have been given numerous tasks involving the ability to solve problems; using critical thinking, innovative ideas, research and advanced analyzing approaches. In my TLB7501 Industry Based Project, I have been given a very complex task, a much more advanced example of problem solving assessments. The Project is about the Maritime industry in Bahrain, and we are required to focus on the main problem; which is the lack of Bahraini workers in the maritime sector.

Page | 62

TLB7501 Industry Based ProjectEmployability Skills Abdulla Ali 20900550

Therefore I am required to analyze this issue, and provide expert opinions on this matter, as well as provide the best solutions.

1. Main Problem:The Main Problem is the Lack of Bahrainis in the maritime industry workforce, and to find out the root problem to this issue I had to research further to find out if that statement is true or not.My theory was that this problem was caused by several factors:

- Awareness- Employment- Bahrain’s Labor Law- Education & Training

2. Research & findings

I conducted a NETS analysis to breakdown the skills network in BahrainAnd the issue proposed by the program manager was true; which is that the Bahraini people lack training and qualification in the maritime sectorThrough my research I found expert opinions on the issue;

o Allen Consulting Groupo Training opportunities in Bahrain and the regiono Training Key to Bahrainizationo Job Opportunities in the regiono The income and salaries of the industry are promisingo The Cost vs. Benefit of Simulator trainingo I presented Diagrams and charts that support my thesis

3. SolutionI provided a set of Solutions, led by one big proposition;

Opening a Maritime Instituteo Bahrain Labor Law- Strict Enforcement neededo Awareness – promote awareness for both employees & employers, to increase

opportunities for Bahrainis, and encouraging them to choose the maritime industry as a career path.

- I Constructed a SWOT analysis on the Idea of opening a Maritime Institute, to measure its practicability and feasibility.

4. I designed a set of recommendations, comprising of different stages and ideas, sorted by priority.

- Includes another NETS analysis designed to provide/list the necessities and requirements of opening a maritime institute.

Therefore based on my findings and analyzing the main problem, I was able to prove that the best and most practical way of solving this problem was to open a Maritime Institute. I believe that this assignment; along with several others in the Polytechnic (like the TLB 6300 Passenger transport assignment, which I mentioned in Learning Skills) prove that I have the ability to solve problems in a professional manner, and perhaps I would be able to the same in the workplace environment, or under training.
