Crazy 8’s:

A Super Awesome Fun Club

Why did you learn all that math in class? So you could join the Crazy 8’s club! Come join us as we figure out how to make marshmallows fly, decipher spy codes, put on a TP Olympics and more! We will build things, make music, run, jump and have (and make) a blast together.

This club is for anyone and everyone, regardless of ability. It is NOT a homework club nor meant to teach content from the curriculum. It is simply fun activities that use math to have a good time. If it happens to help social and cognitive skills along the way, well hey, that’s all the better!

Exploring the World of Music

The purpose of this course is to introduce and further explore the fundamentals of music in a

fashion that embraces the joy and avoids the tediousness of music theory and lectures. Students will engage in activities that demonstrate the concepts of rhythm, melody, and lyricism as well as push each individual’s sense of creativity. Each class will last approximately 40 minutes followed by musical chairs, freeze dance, or a similar active music game. This course will end with a live interactive performance where the students can dance, sing with the band, and ask any music questions they may have.
