Accommodations:

ELL students depending on their level of English language speaking and writing will be given accommodations that range from: being allowed to describe their short answer to #8 to a teacher, being allowed to have their answer written in list form to #8, and/or given more time to finish the test. If needed, ELL student can have the test translated with the exception of the clef titles, or the student can have the test read to them as they answer each section. For students with 504’s or IEP’s, the appropriate level of accommodation will be made. This can range from having more time to finish the test, a quieter environment, having the test font increased to a larger size, the allowance of a teacher to read the questions and the student verbally answer, and/or a notation program be used for #7.

Scoring Rules for the Assessment: Students will be given two class sessions to complete the test. The test is worth a total of 23 points. After teacher feedback, students will be allowed to correct the portions of the test they did poorly on during their free time and receive full credit.

Form and Notation: Students will get one point for correctly labling a Rondo form as ABACA on the staff. Students will get one point for using correct notation that is the same as the written rhythms provided. Must use correct stems and note heads.

One point will be given for providing an example of each element listed worth a total of 6 points. Items can be in list form, sentences, or paragraph form.
