Life expectancy is 81.7 (Aboriginals are just 62) Low infant mortality rate of 4.67 / 1000 live births Birth rate is 12.39 / 1000/ year Death rate is 6.74 / 1000Fertility rate is 1.78 (Below the replacement level)

2. This is partly due to natural increase but also due to large numbers of skilled migrants that are entering the country
