2 Proposed system uses analogue 0 to 10 V signals, which is in defiance

of ITB section 14.11.4, Transmitters, which demands all analoguesignals be 4 to 20 mA. Voltage signals are notoriously unreliable andprone to drift due to resistance changes in installed wiring andtermination.

Second round comment 24-1-13,It is the EPCs responsibility to inform suppliers of the relevant parts ofthe construction specification for this project that must be reflected inthe equipment supplied by the supplier. 4 to 20 mA analogue loopsignals, as opposed to voltage signals, are specified for soundengineering reasons based on common sense and years of fieldexperience to give proven stable performance that are vastly superior

to analogue voltage signals. If the compressor controls manufacturerhad been advised of this requirement at the time of letting the contractwith him and also when this error was identified by the consultant, thencurrent based analogue signals would have been incorporated for nosignificant difference in price. There is now a non-standard, nonconforming control system on the site that could have been correctedby the contractor six months ago, but due to the EPCs arrogance anddereliction of duty by deliberately not responding to the consultantscomments pointing out this non-conformance for over six months, hasallowed this system to arrive on site where it will now become a non-conformance issue to be rectified before commissioning.Whether the suppliers specification has been applied in other jobs is
