• Respect is the set of behaviors that are appropriate for the culture and the values of the organization, that do not harass and allow fellow employees to contribute fully.

Case Study 1

• You are on a project team (work group) and one of the team members rarely allows others to express their opinions, and becomes angry if others do not agree with his position. Discuss the impact of this behavior and suggest ways you can change what is happening.

Case Study 2

• One of your co-workers is very “moody”, and sometimes this behavior affects the team. Discuss what you should do? Isn't an employee allowed to have an off day?

Case Study 3

• One of your co-workers is the slowest to accept new things. He always wants to leave things the way they are. “Don’t fix it if it isn’t broken”. Discuss this and decide if action is required.

• One of the newest team members in your team is very good at new technologies. She has no time for the more experienced team members who are not as “sharp” at the new technologies but understand the business better. What is happening here and what should be done in this case?

Case Study 5

• One of your co-workers is from another country. She speaks with a very strong accent, so strong that you have difficulty understanding her. You know that others in your team have the same difficulty. You know that she is good at her work but because of the problems understanding her your team does not invite her to any meetings that you have to solve problems. What is the correct behavior here?
