A long time ago there lived a man

called Noah.

Noah was a good man who had

a wife and three sons.

One day God told Noah the

people were wicked.

He said

"I'm going to flood the earth and

only you will be safe." 4


God told Noah

to build an ark.

Noah and his sons built a

big ark.

They made the ark waterproof.

When it was ready they filled

it with food.

Noah's family went into the ark.

Then the animals went in too.

There were lots of animals,

two of every kind.

It rained for forty days and

forty nights.

Everyone in the ark was safe.

Noah sent a raven to find

some dry land.

The raven soon came back.

Later Noah sent a dove.

The dove came back with a twig.

When Noah opened the door of

the ark he saw that the sun

was shining. 16


His family and all the animals

walked out of the ark.

It was very sunny and the

land was dry.

Noah said "The flood is over

and everything is growing again."

God said to everyone "I want

you to live all over the earth

and have families."20


God put a rainbow in the

sky and told everyone that was

his sign. 21


God said "I promise I'll never

flood the whole earth again".
