Hannover trade fair as an impuls and start signal for further highlights
220.000 specialised visitors, 6500 exhibitors, more than half of which from
abroad: You could think that the Hannover trade fair as the most important
insutrial exhibition in the world was already the years highlight for the par-
ticipators. Wrong! For KSI Filtertechnik from Willich, Niederrhein, the high-
lights of the year are still coming. General Manager Holger Krebs and his team
prepared the base for that during the compressed air exhibition ComVac.
Mr. Krebs, the Hannover trade fair grows continously, more and more compa-
nies want to present themselves to the international specialist audience. How
is it possible to be recognized among the others?
Holger Krebs: KsI has been part of the Hannover fair since 1999. we gained
valuable experience through the past years. Additionally, many visitors have
been in the market for a long time, they have a superb feeling in terms of which
exhibitors present the most interesting news and developments.
what is your conclusion of the fair?
Holger Krebs: It is still to early for a real conclusion. Maybe we can talk about
that at the end of this year, when we brought in the harvest we seeded during
the time in Hannover.

Let‘s stay in the topic: will it be a good harvest?
Holger Krebs: we really worked hard in all parts of the compa-
ny in advance and during the fair. It begins with our new booth
constructor, the „werbeatelier Reichert“. The next part of the
team is „Laurenz Bick Design“ who came up with great ideas for
the graphics and the whole layout. The project would not have
been so successful without the effort our KsI co-workers put in. A
special thanks to our KsI fair team. But still: these were the preli-
minary works, now comes the finish.
what exactly does that mean?
Holger Krebs: The visitors obviously do not come to Hannover just
to shake hands and drink coffee. Our team on the booth, consi-
sting of twelve people, had a total of 400 contacts. Now comes our
part to care for these valuable contacts. extremely interesting:
Additionally to our good connection on the national market new,
international contacts could be established. The most interesting
converstions with people from egypt, the Ukraine, the UAe, Aus-
tralia show that there is still a huge interest in contacts with Ger-
man middle-sized companies.
Dear partners of KSI,
try to imagine how much work such an important fair is for each exhibitor. Let alone the
planning work of our - exquisite - new booth, the logistics, the service on site, the accomo-
dation for our co-workers in such a crowded city like Hannover,... You really need a good
endurance to stand against such an exceptional pressure. And this one counts for our
whole team.
I personally get a lot of power from two things: First, I look back. I look to where we come
from and what we achieved during the past years. we should be proud of this! second, I
remember the many good conversations we had in Hannover during the last years and will
have in the years to come. Already existing cooperations are cared for and extended and
new, exiting partnerships are created.

How do you explain this interest? Is there any secret?
Holger Krebs: The current situation in the market is the following:
On the one hand there are huge, clumsy tankers, which include
the Us-controlled market leaders. On the other hand there are the
much smaller speed boats, which are obviously able to react on
changing, individual demands quickly and precisely. short deli-
very times and individual solutions are our strengths.
The Hannover trade fair always has a partner country - this year it
was India. which role does the second most populated country of
the world play for KsI Filtertechnik?
Holger Krebs: India is very important, obviously. we are ac-
tive in that country through a close sales partnership with
Nucon Pneumatics Ltd. in Hyderabad. But the production in India,
„Make in India“, was the focus in Hannover. And that does not
fit our company. KsI Filtertechnik sticks to its priciples. And that
includes good old „Made in Germany“.
Is it even possible for a medi-
um-sized company as the KsI
to keep up principles?
Holger Krebs: we definitely
would not be where we are now
without our principles. And we
are very pleased that this con-
tinous attitude is recognized
and rewarded. we are flexible,
we are fast. And we are, and we
stay, the partner of the speci-
alized retailers. Nothing else.
And nothing less.
KSI national: New site, new home
KSI international: Spot sales points and the rest of the world
By moving to willich six months ago KsI Filtertechnik entered
a whole new level. The good thing: Although everything is new
and different and the offices as well as production and storage
experience new opportunities the new site became home to all
co-workers really fast. „It was only one time that I turned wrong
on my way to work“, admits KsI‘s general manager Holger Krebs
with a smile.
One of the advantages of the new site is the new open space for
all areas of the business. The interaction between the different
spheres profits most. „we created new possibilities for commu-
nication“, says Holger Krebs. „People meet more often and there
are more spontaneous conversations.“ It does not matter if peo-
ple talk about business or the latest soccer games. Krebs: „The
communication improves the overall mood. And this finally maxi-
mizes performance.“
The new training centre is all about improving communication,
too. „we now have spaces to deepen the relations with our part-
ners beyond the plain delivery relations“, explains Holger Krebs.
„This is a benefit to all of us.“
The conversations on the Hannover trade fair showed: The nati-
onal market is, of course, still important for KsI Filtertechnik but
the international markets gains more and more importance. 70
(!) per cent of the new contacts from ComVac are from abroad.
The high international interest in KsI is a result from the effort

ket thorugh spot sales points in singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia,
Vietnam and the Philippines step by step while schreiber takes
care for the „rest“ of the world from the headquarter in willich.
The GTF-series: new filter generation
with the introduction of the GTF-series (Generation Two Filter) in
July KsI Filtertechnik passes various developments to its part-
ners. The main features of the new generation include the impro-
ved flow features inside the filter as well as the higher mounting
and dismounting friendliness. The new KsI filter elements of the
GTe-series (Generation Two elements) fit in the new filter hou-
sings GTF which have a suspension to hold the element as well as
in the already existing filter housings beginning from 2009.
Advantages:
•easier and quicker mounting by inserting the element in the
filter bowl
•less pressure drop by avoiding the tie rod
•dismounting of the filter bowl without any additional space
possible
•new filter elements usable in existing KSI filter housings
GEN2-series:ComfortandPremiumforhighestdemands
The new nitrogen generators of KsI GeN2-series, models GeN2
Premium and GeN2 Comfort, KsI Filtertechnik delivers not only
answers for constantly rising demands for cost-efficient opera-
tion and maintenance friendliness. It also presents solutions for
many different purposes.
The Comfort model comes with a simple plug and play installa-
tion: It delivers a capacity of 0,9 - 105 Nm3/h while maintaining
a purity of up to 4.0 / 100 ppm (residual oxygen). The constant
nitrogen supply is continously measured (purity) to guarantee the
quality.
The GeN2 Premium model sets new standards. On the one hand
the low maintenance valves and the compact construction contri-
butes to this. On the other hand the standard touch control panel
with different language settings and a clear structured interface,
remote control via iPad or PC, long time data secure and various
connections to export data make this product a special one. Addi-
tionally KsI Filtertechnik offers different options for the Premium
model, which offers a capacity of 0,5 - 10.000 Nm3/h nitrogen in a
purity of 6.0 / 1.0 ppm (residual oxygen):

The various advantages of the new nitrogen generator series are
also part of the new GeO2 oxygen generator models. One of the
features of the new Comfort and Premium models: efficiency be-
ginning with the first operating minute.
The special advantages the Premium model provides include the
user friendly touch control panel, the remote control via iPad and
PC, the long time data secure and the various connection possi-
bilities as well as the automatic restart for medical installations.

the type approval for the KONTReC® Comfort oil water separator
after already confirming that for the Premium model. KsI Filter-

Outlook:A new webpageThis topic was part of the to-do list of KsI for quite a long time
now. But numerous other issues and the high expectations hin-
dered a quicker development. But now the time has come: KsI
Fitlertechnik gets a whole new, contemporary webpage.
On www.ksi.eu you find everything worth knowing about the
company from willich since the beginning of May.
The most important features the new page needed to fulfil have
been considered properly, says Holger Krebs. „On the product
pages all respective information is available. Data sheets, bro-
chures, drawings, ... nothing is hidden somewhere, just one click
away. Great!“
while one construction site online is closed, a new one in real life
is opened. This one is on spot at KsI, at the siemensring. „we
issued a building application for a new production facility“, ex-
plains Krebs. This investment in the production offers new capa-
cities to KsI as well as even more production depth. „To be able to
offer quick deliveries as well as high flexibility in terms of private
labelling and customizing in the future while maintaining KsI
quality we thought this step would be necessary“, says Krebs.
