The “Systema Inox” components are made of Stainless Steel designated as AISI 304 and AISI 316 by the American Iron and Steel Institute.AISI 304 is the greatest stainless success story. It accounts for more than 50% of all stainless steel produced worldwide. You already have the substantial experience of AISI 304 and its properties on which to draw. Chances are some of your cutlery (look for the telltale 18/8 or 18/10 designation), your saucepans, your sink or, even, the shut-ter on your fl oppy disk are in AISI 304.In chloride and salty environments, 304 is subject to corrosion (it is obviously not specifi ed for construction close to swimming-pools or the seaside); even the pollution of the atmosphere must be taken into consideration as in certain cases it can be quite aggressive and could compromise the anticorrosive property of the material. For above mentioned applications we strongly suggest the use of stainless steel grade AISI 316. It is recommended to stock, work and assemble all stainless steel elements in such a way that they do not get in contact with residues, dusts or tools previously used to work with normal iron products.

“SYSTEMA INOX” means unthinkable high speed when proceeding with the assem-bling of the fi nished job. It is no more necessary to weld, grind, pickle, polish and passivate; the single elements are assembled together thanks to a system of joint in-sertion similar to the one used in the aircraft industry. The high-tech special glues, that complete our “SYSTEMA INOX” range of items, are the fi nal touch to obtain a permanent blocking.With this railing system Ind.i.a. spa created a focal point in architecture. It is a com-posing element one can no more work without in modern architecture; a high-tech product, easy to handle, that perfectly fi ts in all new-conception buildings, in aesthetic models very quickly expanding all over the world.

Stainless steels are metal alloys based on iron, chromium, carbon and other elements, mainly nickel, molybdenum, manganese, silicon etc., which makes them particularly resistant to certain types of corrosion. The presence of chromium creates an invisible surface fi lm that resists oxidation and makes the material “passive” or corrosion resistant (i.e. “stainless”).

Protective fi lmIf the fi lm is scratched or broken by ma-chining, the material is exposed to the atmospheric agents.

Due to the presence of chromium, the regeneration of the passive fi lm is possible by itself.

In 2003, this certifi cate was updated with the adhesion to Quality Certifi cation ISO 9001:2000 (VISION), a stricter than the last one rule and controlled by the German institution TÜV.In 2005, according to the French rule NF P01-013, Arteferro Inox passed a series of tests and it obtained the security certifi cation on the articles from the stainless steel line.
